Squatters and Illegal Aliens: How Those Who Commit Crimes are Mollycoddled by Bureaucrats

DBKP, since its inception, has been following the current trend in Britain, Canada, and even America, of law enforcement arresting, hassling, threatening, or otherwise stifling law biding citizens or victims of crime rather then the perpetrators. This trend, taken up because of political correctness, cultural self-hatred, delusion, or fear among law enforcement officers is most pronounced in Britain. Last week we learned that the British police beat and arrested for hate crimes a bystander to a military parade who dared to verbally confront Muslim racist, hate spewing, fanatic protesters. The Muslims were allowed to freely taunt the soldiers and the spectators with their ‘religious’ filth. As we opined then, the result would be a sense of privilege by the perpetrators. According to The Daily Mail, we have a new instance of this insanity:

Squatters move in to £3million home and tell owners: ‘We’ll call the law if you try to evict us’

“Dozens of squatters have taken over a £3million mansion – and are threatening to prosecute the owners if they try to remove them.

A gang of 40 artists climbed through an open window and are living rent free in the Grade II listed building in Bristol, playing music and huddling around electric heaters.

The squatters claim it is a criminal offence to remove them and they are doing the owners a favour by keeping the building warm and dry.”

“Squatting is legal if entry to an empty property is not forced and there is no criminal damage. But the squatters can be removed if the owners get a court order.”

What could go wrong with a law like that? And the boarded windows give the distinct impression that entry was ……not forced? And what is this “artist’s business? Shouldn’t these ‘artists’ be at work?
I suspect that in the year or so it will take to evict these “artists”, many examples of their art will be evident.

“Owner Jason Birakos was visiting the four-storey Mortimer House in the suburb of Clifton, when he spotted posters on the door and was told by the squatters that they wouldn’t leave.

One notice said: ‘We live in this property, it is our home and we intend to stay here. The section 6 is a legal document making it an offence – illegal – for you to try and enter by force and anyway we’d much rather talk to you.’

One squatter, Miriam said: ‘We have occupied this property because we want to highlight issues of homelessness.

‘Buildings like this get damp damage and we keep them warm – it is like having your own live-in security. “

How kind.

But this level of insanity is by no means confined to the United Kingdom anymore. It has infected America. And with Obama having appointed the most leftwing, porno loving, terrorists admiring Justice Department that could ever be, we should be ready for a lot more. From CNS News:

Justice Dept. Investigates Arizona Sheriff for Enforcing Immigration Law

“The Department of Justice (DOJ) has launched an investigation of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona following requests by congressional Democrats and allegations by liberal activists that the department has violated the civil rights of illegal aliens….

The investigation focuses on Sheriff Joe Arpaio and dozens of officers under his command who were trained through the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Agreements of Cooperation in Communities to Enhance Safety and Security (ACCESS), which partners federal and local law enforcement to enforce immigration laws. (The Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement division is known popularly as ICE.) “

Phoenix, Arizona has now more than one kidnapping a day. It is among the most dangerous cities in America. Most of the kidnapping victims are never seen again. This crime wave is entirely associated with illegal aliens and Mexican crime lords. Clearly a strong constituency of the Democrat Party and President Obama, if this is any indication. Fortunately Arpaio will not back down. He authorized this press release regarding arrested felons:

“In those 18 months, 16,000 inmates were determined to be illegal aliens. Either they have already been deported or will be deported after being tried and/or serving their sentences for crimes committed in the valley. The work being done be Arpaio’s detention staff is a likely contributor to the recent reduction in crime in the valley,” the press release added.

“That number of 16,000 represents a full one-third (1/3) of all inmates in the United States who have had holds placed on them after being identified by jail or prison officials as illegal aliens.”

The press release goes on to say that 20 percent of inmates in the Maricopa County Jail are illegal aliens and that of those, 2,000 illegal aliens – 70 percent – were arrested for felony crimes. Those felony crimes committed included the following: forgery, 12 percent; kidnapping, 10 percent; aggravated assault, 7 percent; driving under the influence, 7 percent; drug charges, 27 percent; robbery, 3 percent; murder, 3 percent; and theft, 4 percent.”

These are the people the Democrats want among us. And like the Brits, we have a political class of contemptible dimwits, who put their own interests before that of the nation, while preening themselves as benevolent overlords.
