British Parents Face Jail Time if Kids miss Gay Education Class

When Queer Becomes Creepy

Gays and Lesbians make up about 2.5% of the population in spite of exaggerated claims to the contrary. And many people and religions find the gay agenda to be creepy. Gay parades and similar, frankly bizarre, celebrations of deviant behavior do little for the image of gays in western civilization. So school boards, determined to wipe out Western cultural values, have embarked on indoctrination to make the creepiness factor of homosexuality ‘normal’, parental objections be damned.

Parents face court action for removing children from gay history lessons

“Parents face possible court action for withdrawing their children from lessons on gay and lesbian history.

More than 30 pupils were pulled out of a week of teaching at a primary school which included books about homosexual partnerships.

The controversial content was worked into the curriculum at George Tomlinson School in Waltham Forest, East London.”

“The council has declared that children who missed the lessons will be viewed as truants.

The ruling means some families could breach rules that children should not be absent for more than 19 days a year.

Sanctions include spot fines, parenting contracts and ultimately court action.”

That’s right. They threatened the parents with jail if they did not force their kids to an entire month of totally subjective indoctrination and fictional history of homosexuality. And likely not a single discussion about the fact that every society on Earth historically believed that, if not a sin , homosexuality was deviant and wrong. As in a recent case in California, the school was careful not to tip the parents off about their academic surprise:

“We as parents did not receive any guidance that this was going to happen,’ he added. ‘There was just a newsletter mentioning the week and that certain themes would be taught.”

Because that would allow protest and an orderly withdrawal of parents who objected. We are talking about 8-year-olds here. These kids have not even had sex education yet. As in the American cases, the program seems more of a recruitment drive. And of course history is not really taught. For example:

Illustration from “King and King” ‘Fairy’ Tale

“One story covered in a lesson was King and King, a fairytale about a prince who turns down three princesses before falling in love with one of their brothers.”

I wonder if the fairy tale went on to say how relieved the three princesses were that they did not end up marrying this pansy?

This is sad. What’s happening to the once great UK. First handing over your country to the rag-heads now this? Unfortunately the US isn’t far off. Conservatives Unite!!! Thanks for the great article.

This article is crap, and might even contain misinformation, but that’s always the right-wing way; willful ignorance over knowledge, fear over emotional maturity. Most gay people would disagree with the possible jailtime mentioned above, if it’s true, and would also disagree with the teaching of this subject matter to such young kids. Most of us lead quiet, responsible, upstanding lives, especially in comparison to many right-wing hipocrites. I find it amusing that I often know more about what the bible says on this subject, and the bible in general, than the morons who are so intent on using it against people like me. I believe Jesus would much rather spend eternity with someone like me than the fear consumed freaks who claim to have him sewn up in their back pocket.

    Rich,

Glad that you’re a reasonable, God-fearing responsible person with a comment.

But, whether gay, gray or pay-for-play, there’s still something not quite right about the Government indoctrinating kids in a manner which is offensive to many parents–and against their religious beliefs.

A bit akin to jailing Muslim parents if their children wouldn’t sit through indoctrination sessions on the “Joys of Pork”.

Myself, I’m most offended that the UK authorities continue to force PC crap down the throats of children and squash those who disagree with it. I have a lot of preferences in my private life; I’d doubt some of those preferences would be appropriate to teach children.

It would be less appropriate still to jail parents who disagreed.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read and comment.

    Thanks.

“Most of us lead quiet, responsible, upstanding lives”- Rich. Well let’s keep it that way. I don’t think right wingers have so much an issue with what you do PRIVATELY but your constant demand to be accepted by everyone, hence why we have liberals trying to push gay education to begin with (a subject that has no business in schools). And if by leading quiet lives you mean parading around in loud obnoxious over the top parades and protesting in Christian church parking lots, then yes you do a very good job at that. I hope that this story is an exaggeration of the truth but honestly it wouldn’t surprise me. As far as Jesus is concerned, I think he would much rather walk with those who glorify HIM with their lives rather than those that have no regard for his word.

Well…this is just one more time my jaw hit the floor…. I keep saying that I am no longer surprised by some outrageous intrusion into our personal lives by government…and then one more screwed up, freedom & liberty killing policy comes to light. In the U.K they have gone over the edge…

IF the U.S. is to exist in any kind of Constitutional Republic as it was intended to be there needs to be a mass uprising and soon. Like Thomas Jefferson said “sometimes the Tree Of Liberty must be refreshed by the blood of tyrannts and patriots…”

How far away from reaching critical mass are we? My gut feeling…not too far….and that’s a real shame.

As much as I think that gay relation should be talked about and gay rights need to change…. I have to say as a mother and a child of a loving gay parent I dont think that it is right to bring children into this fight in this way. What that school did is not fair. and as much as we dont like it parents should have the right to choose what their children are subjected to. Now dont get me wrong my 3 year old spend a lot of time with he’s gay papa and he partner grandpa… but i dont want my son going to school to find out about that life. When my son comes to me and asks me about his papas i will tell him and I will be proud to do so. Not some teacher who did go through the hard times and cruel people talking and knows nothing of the life of a gay or the families of gays.

    Hi Rabbit,

    Thanks for your comment.

I believe the crux of the matter is not about homosexuality but the fact that UK schools have the right to jail parents when the parents disagree with the subject matter being taught and decide they do not want their children in that particular class.

Public schools were supposed to be set up to serve the pubic, not stick them in jail if the public disagrees on what is being taught. The public would be well served to remember that it is through taxes that these bureaucrats are paid their salaries and that what the public “giveth”, they can also “take away”.

What is happening in the UK is the question of “ownership” of children. The UK bureaucrats are behaving as if they “own” or have the right to do whatever they want with kids while they are at school.

i agree parents should have another option to move there child to another class if uncomfortable with what is being taught. but in this case it is that the class is about homosexuals. I feel yes that there is a time and a place to bring the talk of homosexuality up but I should be the one to do that . Now i do think that the equality of all people including homosexuals should be taught but i dont think that a whole class should be based on the life of homosexuality because I dont know what they are teaching. I want to know that my child is learning that homosexuals are people and they have rights and deserve to be able to have children and adopt and be married, but i dont want someone telling my child that what makes them gay is they sleep with the same sex. they should be told that there are men that want a man as there life mate, that they find love from another man that they didnt find with women. and that is all a child should know until they are older. so yes this story is about homosexuality, and what our children should and shouldn’t learn in school.

But i disagree with you when you say that the important part of this story is that the parents are being jailed. the important part about this story is the children. And there are people viewing this saying they should be jailed and there are people saying they shouldn’t. I think it all depends on what their teaching.

I also dont want that one teacher that makes the mistake of saying something like “gays are sick” or something else that is based on their opinion. I dont want a teacher to taint my sons mind to thinking something is wrong with gay people. As i said as a child of a gay parent… i know what it is like to question your life and home life because people in this world want to open their mouth on a subject they know nothing about.

Put this measure together with the failure of the (‘freedom of speech’ amendment in the House of Commons, and its easy to see the repressiveness of British society today.

Parents have the primary responsibility for the care and education of their children. This right is not bestowed by, nor can it be taken away by, the government. It is a universal right, and it trumps the ‘right’ of homosexuals to be affirmed in their behaviour.

You should probably look up the facts. It wasn’t until between 1300-1600 that homosexuality was even mentioned negatively in the bible. Most cultures have either had no opinion on it or even embraced it. Native American Tribes, Ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, and early Christianity all had certain aspects of homosexuality incorporated into the culture. If you want to quote bible verses, make sure you look at the early versions as well as the later ones.
