John Edwards Scandal: Rielle Hunter In New Jersey, Out of Hush Money

John Edwards Affair/Scandal:
Rielle Hunter Back in New Jersey

Rielle and Frances Quinn Hunter

It’s the East Coast for Frances Quinn

The National Enquirer’s reporting that Rielle Hunter has left her fancy digs in Santa Barbara for something a little more plebian: New Jersey

The Enquirer had previously broke the story about how Hunter, John Edwards’ mistress, and love child/daughter, Frances Quinn, were receiving hush money payments of $15,000 a month from Fred Baron–who was Edwards’ campaign finance chairman.

When Baron suddenly passed away from a lethal cancer on October 30, the $15K payments to the Hunters stopped.

After her $15,000 monthly payments stopped with the death of money man Fred Baron, John Edward’s mistress blonde divorcee Rielle Hunter abandoned the lavish $3 million home that was being rented for her in ritzy Santa Barbara, California, sources tell The ENQUIRER.

Now she and her 10-month-old daughter Frances, who she privately says is Edwards’ love child, are living with her longtime friend Mimi Hockman in South Orange, about 20 miles west of New York City, according to insiders.

The Enquirer, was called “tabloid trash” by the former North Carolina senator when the tabloid ran the story about Edwards’ affair with a pregnant Rielle Hunter last December.

John Edwards Scandal Library: Over 120 DBKP stories on the affair, scandal, coverup and media blackout since December 2007, arranged by date published.

But after Edwards was cornered by Enquirer reporters leaving Hunter’s Beverly Hilton hotel room after visiting her and Frances Quinn in late July, Edwards finally confessed on ABC’s Nightline on August 8. Edwards admitted that he had lied, though he didn’t admit being the father of Frances Quinn.

But Hunter has privately confided that Edwards is the father of the bouncing bundle of joy that was Frances Quinn Hunter.

With no money coming in from money man Baron, will Hunter publish her tell-all book that she’s been rumored working on for “insurance”?

Will Hunter move back in with her former Midline Groove partner, Mimi Hockman–a resident of the Garden State?

Readers will likely get some of those answers over the next several months: if Rielle doesn’t get any dough soon, it’s likely that some publisher will be getting a manuscript chock-full of all the details that John Edwards has been able to keep hidden thus far.

And, can a DNA test for little Frances Quinn be far behind?

Is there any doubt Hunter has been lying about paternity to get money? If there was before, it’s gone now. There is no way this money grubbing tramp would leave a ritzy CA house to go live with a friend in NJ if she had any hope of getting more cash off this mess.

Since Hunter herself was a waste of egg and sperm, I don’t think anyone wants to read a book about her sexploits – even if they were true. The whole concept of a book assumes Hunter can write, too, which seems doubtful.

I guess she learned at her Daddy’s knee (while he was killing horses) that you don’t have to work for a living when you can lie, cheat, steal, scam, etc. Maybe it’s time she gets a JOB to support herself and her kid. (If she needs financial help for the kid, it’s simple . . . establish a paternity via a test and then go to court to work out child support. Of course, that gets support for the child not the mother.)

Since Hunter is a pathetic excuse for a human being not to mention for a mother, why doesn’t she just sell her kid? Then she gets cash and doesn’t have to bother with actually being responsible for another life much less her own sad existence.

Is this for real? She was getting $15 grand a month for how long? The sugar daddy dies in October and by December she’s broke? She is officially the dumbest woman on the planet! Bitch, if you are going to commit extortion, make sure you get enough and save so you are set for life.

If she needs a place to live, meals and so on, she can just wait until the IRS catches her for not reporting all this “income” and then the government will be happy to take care of her. Of course, she may have to share her “room” but it doesn’t seem like that’s a problem if she’s living with another woman now. She’ll get meals, medical care on site and they’ll even provide her with a job.

Hey Hunter, why don’t you disappear? You’d not only be doing the rest of us a favor but you’d be doing the best possible thing for that little girl by letting her be raised by someone who didn’t just crawl out from under a rock. If you stay in her life, she’s doomed to become the second biggest freak in the world – after mama!

If this story is true, then one can only conclude that Rielle Hunter knows for a fact that Senator John Edwards is not the father of her child. This makes me happy for John and Elizabeth Edwards, their children ,and the American people whom John Edwards has, and I hope will continue to serve.
President-Elect Barack Obama has chosen, mostly, Wall Street promoters and corporate lawyers to be in his cabinet. He hasn’t included anyone who knows how to interact and relate with everyday American citizens, and then report back to him concerning: (1) what the people need, and (2) whether his administration’s new initiatives are working. During the Great Depression, Eleanor Roosevelt fulfilled this role for President Franklin D. Roosevelt. I nominate Senator John Edwards for this role. John Edwards would be a refreshing change. Is not change what Obama s supposed to be about? As a rival of Barack Obama, for the Democratic Party Presidential nomination, John Edwards, consistently spoke up for average Americans, i.e. Main Street, not Wall Street. During his “Road to One America Poverty Tour” John Edwards demonstrated that he is uniquely qualified for this role.

AMERICAN Media moved a half step closer to being the next major media company to file for bankruptcy.

On Dec. 1, the publisher of Star magazine and the National Enquirer missed the final deadline to make a $21.2 million interest payment, and is feverishly negotiating with bondholders of $1.1 billion of its debt.On Dec. 1, the publisher of Star magazine and the National Enquirer missed the final deadline to make a $21.2 million interest payment, and is feverishly negotiating with bondholders of $1.1 billion of its debt.

Two industry sources told Media Ink that the company has retained bankruptcy lawyers…

Moody’s reported that on Dec. 1, American Media entered into a “forbearance agreement” with its lenders and bondholders under which if it fails to pay interest on its 10.25 percent debt, it “would not constitute an immediate event of default under the terms of the notes.”

If the restructuring deal is approved, it would effectively wipe out stakeholders Evercore Partners and Thomas H. Lee & Partners, and turn over 95 percent of the stock to those holding the debt. The old shareholders would retain just 5 percent of the company under the new transaction

(So, the National Enquirer is hoping to make a lot of money out of this new Rielle Hunter like it did with the other Rielle Hunter stories.)

When you are older you will understand why I had to do this to you. Mommy has never had a real job in her life and doesn’t have any skills or talent to make a living. I’ve always had to mooch off others to provide for myself. Finally by having you I found a way to get lots of money instead of begging endlessly. (You are my meal ticket, little rug rat. Why do you think I had you?) All I want is to live the good life of having everything I could possibly dream of without ever having to work. So what if I had to lie and threaten to get it? You wouldn’t want me out on the street, would you?

Think about me instead of yourself and you’ll see that I did the right thing. Besides you can always change your name later and leave all this in the past. I’ll even give you the money to legally change your name. (But don’t expect anything else from me. As soon as you are old enough, I’ll kick your ass out the door. After all, I can’t have younger competition around when I’m trying to scam men.)

She’s become accustomed to $15K a month, a $6M mansion and a brand new BMW lease.

Edwards set a pattern of support the courts would uphold for the next 18 years.

The $15,000 cash alone per month works out to almost $2M that you should be getting in a lump sum.

There’s no reason for you to drive an old Volkswagen Jetta, if that’s even true.

The reason Rielle hasn’t taken “Edwards to court” for child support is she still in contact with him and he is promising her to be together in the future – after Elizabeth is gone – remember that came out in August (in the National Enquirer) after she was shuttled off to the Virgin Islands. No she being lead by Edwards – she’s waiting for the big payoff in the end – to be with Edwards. Edwards wants that child kept out of the public’s eye since Frances looks like Edwards. Why didn’t Rielle sell a new picture of Frances this time to the Enquirer? That picture is of her from when the scandal came out in August. Besides she use to living off her friend Mimi Hockman.

Cherry Blossom – you either are a friend of Rielle’s or Rielle herself. No one believes Rielle’s a nice person for having a baby with a married man nor that she doesn’t want to hurt the Edwards family. She had a big mouth telling friends who she was sleeping with – sorry she’s just a homewrecking ho and a gold digger to boot.

I just feel for the little girl, being used like a pawn in this sick affair.

Hunter hasn’t taken Edwards to court because she’d lose! As soon as a paternity test proves he isn’t the father, she can’t get payments from others and the National Enquirer for her lies. Good point that she probably is still on drugs – it would explain how in the world she ran through $15,000 a month! There’s the real story for the tabloids, how this chick lies and blackmails her way to easy street only to blow it all and ends up living off a friend in NJ. Of course, then she loses her child but that would probably be in the best interests of the little girl.

When the Fred Baron money train left the station, Hunter had to leave the mansion but why did she go back to NJ? After all she had friends with money in sunny CA to mooch off of, didn’t she? Where is the guy who helped her set Edwards up at the Hilton?

Even people close to her admit she is not well acquainted with the truth. They say she likes to exaggerate or take dramatic license – in other words, to lie. It served her well in dealing with the tabloids since the more salacious the story, the more they will pay. But after everything began to go public she finally had to admit her version was more truthiness than truth. Since she was crossing the line with threats and blackmail, everyone with half a brain immediately distanced themselves from her. She is lucky anyone anywhere was willing to take her in at all.

Unfortunately, it is her child who will have to live with the consequences and that is the saddest part of her sordid story.

Sounds like John Edwards’ Spin Doctors are close at hand.

Meredith and Marilyn are obviously the same person, pushing some agenda to prevent Rielle Hunter from coming forward and making it on her own.

If I was her, I’d make the big move and start giving interviews. Her book alone will be a multi million dollar advance, she could get another million for a people magazine exclusive.

John Edwards has had women lined up outside his dressing room for years, but Elizabeth’s life expectancy is still thirty more years. Rielle’s going to do what… wait until 2038 to marry John Edwards, a guy who by all accounts was sleeping with four different women while he was seing Rielle?

Wake up Rielle, your money train is Hollywood, not ohn Edwards, though any family court judge will make him chip in another $20,000 a month to keep you living right.

WHATEVER YOU DO THOUGH RIELLE, DON’T LOWER YOUR STANDARD OF LIVING BY DRIVING AROUND A VOLKSWAGEN AND LIVING IN A FRIENDS BASEMENT. ITS THE STUPIDEST THING YOU COULD DO AND IS GOING TO AFFECT YOUR CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS. GET A LAWYER, THIS IS A BAD IDEA FOR YOU!

I don’t know Marilyn but we definitely aren’t the same person. Perhaps we are just able to see through the bull. (Why does that offend you?) And where do you get your garbage: “dressing room”? It’s not like they have dressing rooms at political speeches and rallies. And “by all accounts was sleeping with four different women while he was seeing Rielle”? Really ALL accounts? I haven’t seen one. If that were true, he should be running the CIA in the Obama administration.

You are delusional if you think she could get millions for a book, magazine article and interviews. If she continues to claim Edwards is the father, any reputable publication or television show will want to see the paternity test. She claimed she wouldn’t agree to a paternity test to protect her privacy. By going public, that argument is dead. She can’t go public without proof and she can’t agree to a paternity test because it destroys her story.

If she had anything to sell, she would have either used it to get lifetime payments from Fred Baron or she would have sold the story long before now. (Her fifteen minutes of fame are gone.) There is absolutely no way she would have walked away from the lavish lifestyle she was living in California is she had anything left to bargain with at all.

You should be getting spa treatments and be leasing the exact same 2009 model of BMW as the one Johnnyboy rented you in NC. If you let your standard of living slide, the judge will think you can get by with less, and will award you less.

Whatever you do though, don’t deny the baby is yours in public anymore, because if you do, John Edwards might legally be able to prevent his DNA from being sampled, though I’m sure he’s left it around the world on cars, gym clothes, and

The only thing Hunter is entitled to is child support. That is money for the CHILD not the mother and her standard of living is irrelevant in court. (In a divorce case, standard of living applies to alimony but mistresses don’t get alimony.) A judge may question why the mother isn’t earning any income. If the mother is unable to work due to a disability, it may be acceptable but normally the court is going to expect both parents to provide for the needs of the child.

In order to get child support, all the mother has to do is go to court and request a paternity test if the father doesn’t agree voluntarily. Once paternity is established, the parties can agree to child support payments or the court can order payments. It’s a simple process from beginning to end.

In order to truly be anonymous and not be hounded, I’m not going to identify myself by name or role. The facts are that after 2006, Hunter was no longer associated with the campaign, wasn’t traveling with the campaign or showing up in cities the campaign visited in 2007. (You can rest assured if she had shown up even once, people working in the campaign would have known and would have spoken after the affair became public if not before.) There was no opportunity for the affair to continue in 2007.

Edwards was wrong and deserves the consequences of his actions. Hunter is also responsible for her actions and likewise must face the consequences. The people who bear no responsibility but are paying the greatest price are Elizabeth Edwards and her children. People who have no knowledge or factual information are doing a terrible injustice by causing continued pain to people who had no choice in the matter. So unless Edwards decides to run for office again (and pigs begin to fly), everyone should let it rest.

Why are Meredith/Marilyn the only two people in the US that think John Edwards isn’t the BabyDaddy?

Because they are one and the same, I agree.

So there are no dressing rooms on the campaign trail? The most popular John Edwards video of all time “I feel pretty” shows him in a campaign dressing room. Read any of the published campaign backstage agreements. He’s got a makeup artists on call, as do all other candidates, so of course he’s got a dressing room available.

Elizabeth Edwards cancer is incurable, not terminal. She herself has stated her life expectancy is over twenty years. She was first diagnosed in 2004, so she’s already lived almost 5 years with it, and will likely live a full life with normal life expectancy.

Was John Edwards sleeping with women other than Rielle Hunter? Well, according to him, he wasn’t even sleeping with Rielle Hunter, but according to the NYT, he was also sleeping with a Duke University law student and was very cozy with another brunette campaign worker that curiously bore a strong resemblance to an older version of his daughter.

Is Rielle Hunter’s exclusive story without a paternity test worth $1M? Absolutely.

Is Rielle Hunter’s paternity test worth $1M independent of her exclusive story? Yes.

Is Rielle Hunter’s book deal worth at least $1M? Yes.

Is a People Magazine exclusive of her baby’s pictures worth at least $1M? It was in August, I’m not sure it is today, but its getting less valuable by the day.

Rielle Hunter could make a lot of money without John Edwards, she’s just got to get off her ass and do it.

And personally, I think Mimi Hochman is just the person to help her do it.

Face it, those two wrangled a video job on a presidential campaign with no prior experience. I’ll bet they write a great TV pilot.

Good luck, girls, and Merry Christmas!

She also said the prognosis was she had five years to live in early 2007 so if it’s the same she should still have five years. The only reason she is getting this much attention now is the end of the year review of scandals but come 2009 the only attention she’s likely to get is from the National Enquirer. Yeah, I can hear the questions now: You got $15 grand a month for a year and you are broke. Where did the money go – up your nose? I don’t think it would be a sympathetic interview to hear about someone getting a windfall and going through it as fast as it came in.

While running for President, John Edwards was the only candidate who dared to tell the American public the truth about the only “real scandal” revealed this year:
In this video, John Edwards explains that the problem is “corrupt capitalism”,
    you know that, “other America”.

The levels of greed and corruption are astounding! A Madoff investor committed suicide over the losses: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28368421/

When we recover from this financial meltdown and the analysis is done, I believe the root cause will be greed at all levels. Yes, home buyers took on mortgages they couldn’t afford, ran up outrageous credit card debt, didn’t save a penny, and so on. Individuals were aided and abetted by the greed in the corporate world. The bonuses and perks of the CEOs are nothing short of obscene!

People must return to the mindset of our grandparents that you don’t buy more than you can afford. You save money to make purchases. You do without when you have to and you reuse if you can. You put something away for a rainy day. We are going to return to a cash based society. If we don’t make a significant change, the tragic stories will continue.

I look around an am stunned at the foolish decisions people made and continue to make. I bought a home well within my means and scrimped to pay it off early. I drive an old car that is paid for and don’t owe anything on credit cards. I have a good job at least for the moment but that could change at any minute. If the worst happens, I know I can find a way to hold things together. (Healthcare scares me because of the insane costs of getting coverage on my own but I’m lucky to be in good health.)

Co-workers and friends have lost their jobs, have large mortgages, two car loans, high credit card balances and generally live beyond what they could afford when they were working. I hope they find a way out of the situation they are in and I hope others will learn from their stories and not repeat the same mistakes. Greed is not good!

The government continues to give more and more money to the richest Americans.
What needs to happen of course is a redistribution of money from
the hands of a few into the hands of the many, i.e. from Wall Street to Main Street.
One way of doing this, as Senator John Edwards suggested, would be for the
government to boost low-income families’ savings with work bonds, which would
supplement the Earned Income Tax Credit to match the savings of low-income workers
    up to $500 per year.

Allow be to introduce you to Senator John Edwards. He is married to Elizabeth Edwards and they have
three lovely living children, and a deceased son they miss very much. They are a well-to-do family, who
like to spend their time helping others. Elizabeth fights for Universal Health Care (by the way she has incurable breast cancer) for all Americans, and John fights to end poverty in America. During John’s Presidential campaign, while promoting these issues, the entire family traveled to New Orleans (on more than one occasion) to help out with the rebuilding efforts. Click on the link below and see some the pictures taken during their trips to New Orleans:

    Cherubim,

The main people the Edwards’ have helped throughout their careers have been–surprise–the Edwards.

The Edwards’ story is buttressed with facts, dates, times and names. The only difference between now and December ‘07 is that the MSM had to finally recognize the story because Edwards chose ABC’s Nightline as the venue to make his “confession”.

What remains of Edwards’ small core of true-believers will not be swayed by any of the above.

That aspect of the Edwards’ scandal is exactly the same as before.

IF John Edwards confessed to raping 15 women while on the campaign trail, there would still be people posting comments on those stories about YouTube videos showing Edwards is kind to his mother and pets.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment.
