82% of the surface weather stations in the USA have been surveyed since 2007 and have found that 61% have temperature errors in the 2-5 degrees Celsius range plus an additional 8% have error rates greater than 5 degrees Celsius.

Most of the bias is towards warming due to the weather stations being placed near/over asphalt surfaces, near structures that block air movement, etc.

Most data from the CRU and NASA, and if they were purposely biased that data towards warming, then other researchers will see warming. Garbage in yields garbage out, even with your supercomputer. That’s why the climate models, when applied to past known weather, do not forecast what really took place. Hiding data and making it unavailable to review, points directly to fraud.

Here’s what NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) actually said:

“The global land surface temperature was 50.72 degrees F — 2.02 degrees F above the 20th century mean of 48.7 degrees F, ranking as the warmest October on record. The combined global land and ocean surface temperature for January-October was 58.25 degrees F – 0.85 degree above the 20th century mean of 57.4 degrees F and ranking as the 9th warmest January-October on record.”

Troll, nonsense. The temperature high since 1979, the year that satellite temperature commenced, is 1998. Thereafter there was a plateau of ambiguous extent. In 2002 temperatures around the world commenced to decline. In February of 2006 this downward trend actually became statistically significant. Get outside once in a while. Lastly , the biologic health of the world would improve this a rise of a degree or 2. Rain fall would increase, severe storms would decrease, bio fauna would dramatically increase as it did between 1995 and 2005.

So I just finished reading the NOAA pages on how the data was interpreted, and adjusted for changes in how temperatures were collected. You mock this one scientist for ‘fudging’ the data. Yes, his data needs to be inspected. That is what peer review is all about. Seems he screwed up royally — but it doesn’t discount the research from thousands of other scientists worldwide — or the NOAA (not NASA) data. THAT data shows the warming trend. Not cooling. Warming.

You should do yourself a favor and read the data, and the techniques. Avoid Hansen if you want to. There’s nothing wrong with pointing out his shilling is just as unproductive as the head-in-the-sand neo cons. But — don’t lie to us because you like to mock people. You’re no better than Hansen in spitting useless tripe.
