Obama: Candidate and MSM Won’t Report Obama’s Socialist Ties

Your Ad Here

There’s a mystery that shrouds the millions donated to the Obama campaign, especially in regards to illegal contributions, from here in the United States and from foreigners. There’s also news that the RNC has amended a complaint filed to the FEC alleging contribution misconduct by the Obama campaign after an investigation revealed that half of the $400+ million donations to the Obama campaign came from “unreported sources” and that at least $2 million in donations have come from foreigners while Obama and the MSM have yet to reveal Obma’s past socialist ties.

On Friday DBKP wrote about blogger Doug Ross’ discovery that the Obama campaign website was accepting contributions from foreigners without any proof of citizenship while other investigations found the website had “disabled” the safeguard function for when submitting a credit card contribution, allowing anyone, anywhere in the world, to give donations under “fake” names and bypass the Federal Election campaign contribution laws.

An investigation by Newsmax has found that half of the $426+ million raised so far by the Obama campaign comes from “unreported” donations of $200 and under:

“The FEC breakdown of the Obama campaign has identified a staggering $222.7 million as coming from contributions of $200 or less. Only $39.6 million of that amount comes from donors the Obama campaign has identified.

It is the largest pool of unidentified money that has ever flooded into the U.S. election system, before or after the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reforms of 2002.”

Newsmax is reporting that the RNC has amended a complaint filed with FEC, calling on the government watchdog, in regards to election law, to conduct an audit after it was discovered that the campaign had accepted donations from foreigners, “excessive contributions from individuals”, and “donations from unknown sources”.

Newsmax uncovered 60,000 donations to Obama that had originated from foreign sources while other investigations found how easy it is for non-citizens to donate using a credit card on the Obama campaign website. Not only can foreigners donate to Obama on his campaign website but it was discovered that the campaign website had disabled safeguards when entering credit card info enabling contributors to fill in the “donor” name other than the credit card holder. The New York Times blog reported that “fake” names were easily entered when submitting an contribution to Obama’s campaign.

By law the FEC requires campaigns to report only those contributions which are higher than $200. What this means is that campaigns have to give the total amount of these “small” donations but do not have to divulge to the FEC the contributor’s name. The Obama campaign website had disabled the safeguard function which then allowed contributors to give a name other than the credit card holder. This allowed anyone to get on Obama’s campaign website and give $200 or less, under multiple names, from any country, and not be reported to the FEC. It was discovered the campaign had accepted “donations” from “Jeremiah Wright” and “Osama Bin Laden”. So far, a staggering $200+ million has been given to the Obama campaign, of which the campaign doesn’t have to report the donor’s name to the FEC. DBKP wondered, how many of those contributions may have come from foreigners?

According to the AP both McCain and Obama have received donations from overseas:

“Obama has raised at least $2 million abroad, far more than McCain’s total of at least $229,000, according to the AP’s review of campaign finance records. The amount reported flowing in from outside the U.S. is a small percentage of the roughly $390 million raised so far by Obama and the $167 million by McCain.”

While the AP “found” that Obama had “raised” at least 2 million abroad this was before it was discovered that the Obama campaign had dismantled the safeguard protection when submitting credit card info when giving a contribution on their website. Add that to the fact that the Obama campaign, by law, doesn’t have to reveal the names of contributors who give $200 or less, then there’s no official way to tally how many of the over $200 million contributions have come from foreigners or those who used multiple fake names such as Osama Bin Laden.

This is nothing new in politics, in 1996 Al Gore and the Buddhist Temple fundraiser made the news:

“Vice President Al Gore’s visit to a Buddhist temple near Los Angeles in 1996 is the very symbol of campaign-finance chicanery, particularly illegal contributions from Asia. Gore tried to distance himself from the event by claiming at first that it was “community outreach.” Eventually he conceded that it was “finance related,” but he’s always said he didn’t know it was a fundraiser.”

According to Fortune Magazine, Gore had a longstanding relationship with Maria Hsia, a fundraiser who organized an event at the Hsi Lai Buddhist Temple in Hacienda Heights, California. The “event” was billed as Democratic fundraiser:

“Gore and Hsia got to know each other in the late 1980s, when Gore was worried about raising enough money for his 1990 Senate reelection. Hsia, an immigration consultant, was eager to contribute to politicians who could help her clients and associates. One associate was John Huang, who became notorious as an Asian fundraiser for the Democratic Party in 1996. Her clients would later include the Hsi Lai Temple, whose parent was the Fo Kuang Shan Buddhist order. In 1989, Gore was the sole U.S. Senator to accept Hsia’s entreaty to visit the temple’s Taiwan headquarters on a trip partly paid for by the order.”

From Salon:

“April 1996 Gore attends an event at the Hsi Lai Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles that nets the Democratic National Committee close to $65,000 from donors. In September 1997, a trio of Buddhist nuns from the temple admit in Senate testimony that the temple illegally reimbursed guests for their donations. Gore later denies knowing the gathering at the temple was a fundraiser, describing the event as “community outreach.”"

The New York Times pointed out the nuns and buddhists who gave cash contributions to Gore had “taken a vow of poverty” and that it is against the law to hold a political fundraiser in a “tax exempt religious institution”, never mind that the contributions where from foreigners.

“During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.”
–Al Gore, 199 CNN Interview

Ironically it was the internet that alleviated some of the “cash and carry” contributions problems that Al Gore faced when he accepted cash from the Buddhists. Gore, who once proclaimed in an CNN interview that he had “created” the Internet wouldn’t have had to “glad-hand” the Buddhist monks and nuns at a Temple, they could have used their Mastercards and Visas on his Internet campaign site. No muss, no fuss, and no questions asked–while the dollar totals in the till continue to climb, and no one’s wiser as to the source.

The Obama campaign had been trumpeting its campaign contributions success but how much of the money comes from foreign contributors? That’s what we’d like to know. It was discovered that the Obama campaign had dismantled the safeguard feature for credit cards on their internet site enabling anyone to contribute, under fake names, for as much as they wanted, and that some had originated from foreigners.

Obama campaigning in Kenya for his cousin, Odinga

Obama’s Cousin, Odinga

It was discovered that $950,000 had been raised by Obama “fundraisers” for Obama’s cousin in Kenya, rebel leader Raila Odinga, and that Obama had campaigned for his cousin who was running for President:

“In August and September 2006, Senator Barack Obama traveled to South Africa, Chad, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Chad and Kenya as a congressional delegation of one (Codel Obama) (“Codel Obama” The Hill 9/7/2006) While in Kenya, Obama consistently appeared at the side of fellow Luo Raila Odinga (“your agent for change’), who was running for President. (“Senator Rebukes Kenya’s Corruption” Chicago Sun Times 8/29/2006) Because of his African heritage, Obama was treated as a virtual “Head of State” in Kenya While campaigning with Odinga, Obama was openly critical of governmental corruption under President Mibaki –usually a fair, if undiplomatic, criticism from an objective observer.”
African Press

According to the Guardian, Odinga, a member of the Luo Tribe, felt he was “robbed” when he lost an election to Kenya’s president, Mwai Kibaki. Ironically, Odinga’s party is the Orange Democratic Movement, a socialist party, while many Americans are unaware that Obama was once a member of the Socialist New Party when he ran for Illinois Senate.

Politico posted a Youtube video which purportedly shows Obama campaigning for Odinga in Kenya in 2006 while on the “taxpayers” dime. Charges of genocide were leveled at Odinga after members of his Luo tribe rioted, killing rival villagers and burned Christian churches after Odinga lost the election.

Politico found where the Washington Times had reported Obama’s trip, paid for by American taxpayers, and how Obama had used his slogan of “Change”:

“Mr. Odinga and Mr. Obama were nearly inseparable throughout Mr. Obama’s six-day stay. The two traveled together throughout Kenya and Mr. Obama spoke on behalf of Mr. Odinga at numerous rallies. In contrast, Mr. Obama had only criticism for Kibaki. He lashed out against the Kenyan government shortly after meeting with the president on Aug. 25. “The [Kenyan] people have to suffer over corruption perpetrated by government officials,” Mr. Obama announced.

“Kenyans are now yearning for change,” he declared. The intent of Mr. Obama’s remarks and actions was transparent to Kenyans – he was firmly behind Mr. Odinga.”

To date, Obama has yet to release any of his papers from his former days at Harvard, Occidental, and Columbia as a college student. This leads one to naturally wonder what Obama has written that he feels the public shouldn’t have access. Was it a prior political ideology, such as Marxist or Socialist views, or something else? Again, as a candidate with no record, we are forced to rely on prior actions, such as what a candidate wrote when in college, his prior membership in organizations, his trips abroad, his campaigning for a rebel opposition leader of a Socialist party in Kenya.

Not allowing access to such items as Obama’s college records and papers only adds to speculation and the undisputed fact that Obama is not the “open” book he portrays himself to be. The MSM has failed to report on Obama’s membership in the Socialist New Party when he ran for Illinois State Senate–this is stunning when you think about it as this is “part” of his past record–nor have they asked Obama any questions regarding his 2006 trip to Kenya on the taxpayers dime where Obama spent time campaigning for his cousin, Odinga, the head of a socialist party in Kenya. Now we find that millions have poured into the Obama campaign, of which some are purportedly from non-American citizens living overseas.

Since there is no “record” of what Obama has achieved prior to running for President, then voters are forced to look at character, which includes “ideology”. The MSM won’t report that Obama was a card carrying member of a Socialist party when he ran for Illinois State Senate. Socialism, in itself, is not a bad thing, it’s not a “smear”, nor is it a code word for “black”. It is a political ideology. But voters, when assessing a candidate, like to know a candidate’s ideology before casting their vote. They also wonder, like us, as to why the press had ignored this “facet” about Senator Obama or his ties to his socialist party leader cousin, Odinga, in Kenya. Yet the press got a first hand lesson on Thursday on what the response would be from the Obama campaign when asking the “wrong” questions, especially in regards to “Marxism”:

A Florida TV station learned the hard way Thursday during a Joe Biden campaign stop that asking the “wrong” questions can land you in “hot water” with the Obama campaign:

The Orlando Sentinel reported that when Florida TV station WFTV reporter Barbara West attempted to ask Biden questions about Joe the Plumber and Obama’s now famous quote about “spreading the wealth” as well as Biden’s recent comment that Obama will be “tested” by foreign powers “early on”, Biden responded with “are you joking?” and “I don’t know who’s writing your questions” then brushed the reporter aside. The Obama campaign responded by canceling a scheduled interview with Biden’s wife:

“”This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election,” wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.

McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was “a result of her husband’s experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West.”"

West had quoted Karl Marx when she asked Biden about the “spread the wealth” comment made by Obama to Joe the Plumber.

Editors of the biggest newspapers have endorsed Obama for President because he “acted” Presidential during this campaign and that he would make a good leader based on what he “believes”. We wondered, based on the fact that Obama was former member of a socialist party, just what does he “believe”? This is not “out of line” when looking at candidate, especially when the candidate is running “without a record”.

When voting for someone who will become our next President, concrete actions take “precedent” over “vision”, especially when there is a substantive lack of legislative record–Obama has none other than his Global Poverty Act, a $800 million dollar bill which would force taxpayers to fund Obama’s plan to “lift” half the world out of poverty by 2015.

We find the fact that Obama touted “change” to the voters of Kenya in 2006 when campaigning for his cousin, opposition rebel leader and head of a socialist party, Odinga, while Obama was a United States Senator in Kenya, quite interesting.

The papers, when endorsing Obama, cited how he “ran his campaign” as his “executive” experience. Now we find that his campaign website, which has collected literally hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions, was “fixed” so that people could enter fake names or contribute “countless times” or from foreigners living overseas. Which begs the question: will the editors of those papers turn a blind eye, between now and the election, to any information about Obama or his campaign which would “counter” their endorsement of Obama? In light of the fact that the MSM has ignored Obama’s ties to socialism, nor asked for Obama to release any of his college records or papers, we doubt it. Nor will the press investigate how much money in the Obama coffers come from illegitimate sources.

The press and Obama are playing “don’t ask, don’t tell, making the decisions on what voters have a “right” to know about a Presidential candidate. Voters and America deserve better.

    Hi everyone!

Jerome Corsi, one of the main smear attackers behind the Swift Boat smears against John Kerry, recently got himself in trouble with authorities in Kenya as he tried to publicize his tired, rehashed lies.

You can find more about Corsi’s slimy attack book here:

    http://my.barackobama.com/corsi

So what were the smears behind the latest Corsi stunt? He apparently started with an email attack that earned a “pants on fire” rating from PolitiFact for truthfulness. The email claimed familial, financial, and political ties between Barack Obama and a Kenyan politician named Raila Odinga, so all Corsi had to do when he “wrote” his book was commit it to paper. Everything in the email was debunked months before the book came out, but Corsi went with his illegitimate smears anyway.

    Here is the PolitiFact article:

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/465/

The truth is, Raila Odinga claimed to be related to Barack during a politically dangerous moment for himself, and no Kenya experts believe his claim. Having made that unsupported boast, even Odinga himself says he never received money from Obama, as the original smear email and Corsi’s pathetic rehash would have us believe. And even though the smear attackers want to rewrite history, accounts from the time prove that Barack did not take sides in Kenya’s recent controversial election.

Find out more about Jerome Corsi’s ugly lies, then help spread the truth:

    http://my.barackobama.com/odingasmear

Together we can make sure the deceitful and divisive smear attacks about Reverend Wright don’t affect this election.

    Thanks for your help.

Well said, Jack Russell! It is rather silly that a candidate who calls for increasing the top marginal tax rate from 35% to 39% (where it was under Ronald Reagan) is called a “socialist”, while an administration that nationalizes banks and insurance companies is “conservative Republican”. The people who throw around such labels just don’t have the slightest grasp of what socialism is.

I won’t be silenced, I know Obama is a RADICAL MARXIST/SOCIALIST, and if elected, with his record of already thugish silencing dissent, you can bet your sweet bippy he will shut down conservative talk radio and press, and whit a fillibuster proof majority in congress, nothing will stop him from declaring martial law, suspending the constitution and naming himself president for life, viva Chavez and Fidel. Why vote for McCain? He voted for the bailout, just like Obama. And both McCain and Obama voted for US government investment in big commercial banks, which is socialist. Yes, that means Socialism, maybe even Communism.

Why not send a message to both parties that it is time to vote on principles? Why not? YES, we should!

Only Bob Barr is moral enough and conservative enough to deal with the issue of housing, Wall Street, and the rest of the current mess. He has not taken a cent from Fannie or Freddie or from any of the Wall Street firms that profit from the bailout. And Bob Barr has the support of Rep. Ron Paul, who did so well in the Republican primary debates.

    So did Venezuala befor Chavaz.

In a recent address to his subjects, carried by fiat on all of the nation’s television channels, Venezuela’s authoritarian president Hugo Chávez Frias, who has previously taken over the airways for the celebration of his own birthday, now turned his country’s attention to more urgent matters. The time had come, he explained, to move the “Bolivarian revolution” from its Lenin-like beginnings of transitional capitalism towards a more robust command economy. The nation had at last “broken the chains of the old, exploitative capitalist system,” he said. “The state now has the obligation to build the model of a socialist economy.”

The next stage of the socialist revolution will require making thirty-three separate amendments to the Venezuelan constitution—a document Chávez previously rewrote upon his ascension to Miraflores Palace in 1999. The most dramatic and controversial change will eliminate presidential term limits, ensuring the fulfillment of Chavez’s promise not to leave office until 2021. To Hugo Chávez, a permanent revolution requires that he wield permanent power. It’s a risky move, considering recent opinion polls showing a majority of Venezuelans skeptical to further constitutional “reform,” especially if it means the possibility of adopting a President Chávez for life. But the same public, polling data demonstrates, also opposed the government’s refusal to renew a broadcast license for RCTV, the country’s oldest and most anti-Chávez private television network, and that storm seems to have passed.

W Bush is NOT a staunch Conservative. Neither is McCain. As for Reagan, he did more to reduce the size of government than just about any president over the last 30 years. So don’t distort his record and think we won’t notice.

Obama is clearly going to enact socialism by taxing the wealthy and the middle class to give to those who don’t deserve it. How dare people work hard and be successful! Don’t give me that BS that he’ll only take from the “rich”. He has said publicly he will NOT renew the tax cuts we of the middle class were given. That’s a tax increase. Combine that with the massive spending on socialist programs and it only proves there will be NO tax cuts.

From everything I have researched in the last two years, has lead me to conclude that Obama was selected, tutored, groomed, scripted, and financed by Radical Marxist/Socialists to become the puppet leader of the USSA.

There is a vast difference between Social Democrats and Radical Marxist/Socialists. Hillary Clinton is a Social Democrat. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Schumer, Durbin, Franks,Boxer, and a few others now in Congress are Radical Marxist/Socialists.

On my website: [valsword.spaces.live.com] I have a 16 minute video of an interview with Yure Bezmenov a KGB agent who defected in 1970. This interview was recorded 24 years ago,
and the transcript highlights, in Yuri’s own words confirm what I mentioned in the first paragraph.

I pray that I am wrong, but from everything I have researched, I believe Obama, with a Reid Pelosi led Congress, with a radical judicial system will pull a Hugo Chavez.

With a filibuster proof congress led by Reid and Pelosi. What is to stop Obama from pulling a Hugo Chavez. A closed mind is like a locked door, unless the right key is found, nothing enters. Unfortunately for many the key will be hindsight.
    Frank Marshal Davis

    Wright.
    Dohrn
    Odinga
    ACORN
    The New Party

All Radical Marxist/Socialist links in Obama’s
chain that launched his political career, and
unlike the theory of evolution, there are no missing links.
Davis, a known, avowed Communist Mentored Obama
as a teenager shaping his social views, and fostered his hate for whites.
The rest of the Radical Associations reinforced
Davis’s teachings, and the Socialist NEW PARTY launched Obama’s career.
    Obama, selected, tutored, groomed, scripted,
and financed by Radical Marxist/Socialists to become
the puppet leader of the UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF AMERICA If you do not believe associations shape the
character and judgement of a person, why do you
NOT let your child hang out with the local street gangs and crack heads. All of the people I listed are linked together, all share the same values, all are long term and continious Associations of Obama. They are not just random accidental associations with whackos that everyone encounters occaisionally.

Hard Right – Not sure what you mean by “dishonest” – specifics? Ronald Reagan was a great, transformative president who reinvigorated American self-confidence and popularized free-market economics around the world. But he was relative ineffective in shrinking government, and indeed ran up huge deficits. And he had other faults (his rapid withdrawal from Lebanon following the Marine barracks bombing was probably the biggest spur to middle east terrorism of the decade), so we don’t need to idealize him to recognize his many accomplishments. If you really believe Barack Obama is a “socialist” then you really don’t know what socialism is. Raising marginal tax rates from 35 to 39 percent is not “socialism”. And remember, these are marginal rates, not real rates of taxation. For example, in the two most recent tax returns released by the Palins, their actual federal tax rate was 11% of gross income one year, and 7% the other. Few upper income Americans pay anything close to the marginal rate on their total income, given deductions for mortgages, charitable contributions, medical expenses, oil depletion, capital depreciation, lower capital gains rates, etc. Since the GOP in thier last 8 years in the White House has run up the national debt by an amount greater than all other US Presidents combined, it’s clearly no time to continue the government giveaways to the top strata that we saw under George W.

Here’s my own view — I obviously don’t speak for all liberals (or “socialists” in your mind), but I think much of what I say is shared by many thinking liberal Democrats, and by Senator Obama: Free-market capitalism is the best system ever devised for producing the greatest economic good for the greatest number of people. But… First, it needs governmental oversight in many respects to correct evils that it can spawn if unregulated (child labor, adulterated food and drugs, price fixing and other antic-competitive behavior, discriminatory practices, and so forth). Since Theodore Roosevelt, we have recognized this. Second, although free market capitalism does produce the greatest good for the greatest number, it leaves in its wake people at the bottom rungs of society. In return for adopting a system which benefits the great majority of us very well – better than any other system – we have a societal obligation to take care of people at the bottom whom the system leaves out, for whatever reason. It would be wonderful if private charity took care of all these cases, but it doesn’t. I and I think most people in this society believe it is a good thing for society to insure that people who can’t afford it be provided with access to good medical care, to food and to shelter. And yes, just as we tax for the “common defense” in the words of our wonderful Constitution, we tax to “provide for the general welfare” and for many things that benefit some more than others — roads, schools, space exploration, scientific advancement, etc. You don’t seem to mind your tax money going to enrich the coffers of Haliburton and other war profiteers; you do mind if your tax money goes to treat sick poor kids or feed unemployed families. I’m kind of the opposite, but I recognize in a Democratic society that the views and interests of many will be compromised. We all pitch in, and not all of what our tax dollars go for are what we would spend it on if we had individual control. But that’s how it goes in a democracy. I sure haven’t been happy about the allocation of burdens and benefits these past eight years — maybe you haven’t either — but I suspect I’ll be happier in the priorities of government for the next eight. Who knows when the political cycle will swing back again?

But calm down. You’ll survive. We’re all lucky to live in this great country.

As for Ronald Reagan, he was indeed a great and transformative President — he gave America back its self-confidence, and he popularized free market economics across the world. But we don’t need to idealize him to recognize his weak as well as his strong points. He did little to shrink the size of government, and ran up huge deficits. His catastrophic error in pulling American troops out of Lebanon in response to the marine barracks bombing was probably the single greatest impetus to middle eastern terrorism, not to mention a signal to area allies that we couldn’t be relied on.

If you really believe that raising top marginal tax rates from 35 to 39% is “socialist”, you have no idea what socialism really is. It is not exactly radical to want to redress the failed economic policies of the last 8 years of GOP White House rule in order to begin to undo the damage that has been done — a runup in the national debt greater than all other US Presidents combined. Our economy did quite well in the Clinton years as I recall. And by the way, the top marginal rate is not in any way the actual tax rate. Take the Palins, for instance. In the last two years of tax returns they released, they paid on a six figure income, actual rates of 11% and 7% of gross income. The deductions available to the well-off, myself included, are myriad — mortgages, charitible contributions, medical expenses, oil depletion allowances, capital depreciation, lower capital gains rates, and so on infinitim — and mean that few, if any, of the top earners in the country end up paying anything near the top marginal rate.

Let me explain my own economic views. I obviously don’t speak for all Liberals (to you, I’m sure, “socialists”), but I think many if not most Liberal Democrats including Senator Obama would probably agree with much of what I will say. I believe that free market capitalism is the best economic system ever devised for delivering the greater economic prosperity to the greater number of people. But I also believe that there is a place for governmental regulation of unbridled market capitalism — child labor, adulterated food and drugs, price-fixing, anti-competitive trusts and collusion. Americans have long recognized this since the days of Teddy Roosevelt.

I also believe that although capitalism does produce the greatest good for the greatest number, it inevitably leaves some out, and society has a responsibility — in return for protecting the economic property rights of those, like me, who prosper under the system — of taking care of some of those resultant ills, including poor children who wouldn’t otherwise get effective medical care, or the elderly, infirm or unemployed. It would be nice if private philanthropy took care of all such needs, but it just doesn’t happen. Just as we use the power of taxation to “provide for the Common Defense” in the words of our great Constitution, so should we use it “to promote the General Welfare”. We use our tax system for lots of things that benefit some more than others — schools, building roads, conducting space exploration, advancing scientific research. You might favor some of those tax uses — e.g. enriching Haliurton and other war profiteers, or building larger and bigger bombs — more than others, such as feeding poor families or providing health care to uninsured children, while my priorities for my tax moneymay be just the opposite. That’s how it works in a democracy.

We’ve lived now through 8 years of GOP priorities in tax and spend policies, and the pendulum has shifted. For the next eight years, I suspect that I’ll be a little happier and you’ll be a little angrier. But that’s OK. We’re both lucky to be living in the best country in the world, and you’ll be just fine.

Have a nice day, and try to relax a little.
