Obama and his Bubble: The Hate America Crowd

Obama, the candidate who lived in a bubble

For those who wonder just “who” it is that “hates” America, The Daily Mail published an article written by Max Hastings who attended the McCain rally in Belton, Missouri. The headline: “Bush’s stupid, brutish ways have made the U.S. more hated than ever… and it’s cost McCain the election”.

According to Hastings, supporters of McCain were “unhappy” and “embittered” and the party of “America’s stupid people”. Hastings also “noted” that the people in the crowd were “simple” and “most of them decent”. Hastings handed out some back handed slaps at “evangelicals” calling them “God nuts” and how some in our military had caught the “same disease”:

“McCain has still got the support of the God nuts. These include, dismayingly, many senior U.S. Army officers. For years, the U.S. Air Force has been a stronghold of Christian evangelicalism. American soldiers, alas, have caught the same disease.”

The whole article is chock full of Hasting’s observations of “America”, McCain, Palin, and Obama:

“If, by some implausible twist of fate, Americans turn back to McCain, they would vote for more of the same – bungled economics, breaks for the rich, blundering foreign policy, perverted religion and foolish folksy values, a moral arrogance which has led America in to military quagmires abroad.
If instead – and thankfully most likely – they choose Obama, they will take a soaring leap into the unknown. Electing him will be the bravest thing the American people have done for many a long day.”

Hastings writes about those who “hate” America yet it was stunningly “simple” for this writer to surmise that it is Hastings and his “ilk” who are at the top of the list after reading his article.

An excellent article in the German magazine, Der Spiegel, cites a poll taken by Germans which found that 48% of Germans found the United States “more dangerous” than Iran. Claus Christian Malzahn pointed out certain “facts” about “German hypocrisy” and historical facts that some Germans may not want publicized about: the Germans believed in colonies in Africa and the Kaiser, as well as that Jews should be “placed in Ghettos and concentration camps” because they were the “enemy of the people”.

Malzahn found that the German establishment was largely responsible for the anti-Americanism:

“The German political establishment, which will no doubt loudly lament the result of the poll, is largely responsible for this wave of anti-Americanism. For years the country’s foreign ministers fed the Germans the fairy tale of what they called a “critical dialogue” between Europe and Iran. It went something like this: If we are nice to the ayatollahs, cuddle up to them a bit and occasionally wag our fingers at them when they’ve been naughty, they’ll stop condemning their women to death for “unchaste behavior” and they’ll stop building the atom bomb.”

Malzahn wrote that Americans winning the war in 1945 is the main reason for “American” hate and that some will never “forgive” Americans for defeating Hitler. This also fits into the observations made by philosopher Jean-Francois Revel. Revel also saw the decline in democracy due to European intellectuals and the political Left in America:

According to Revel, the European Left enjoys its fantasy of America as “the worst society that ever was.” According to this cartoon of reality, America is a society that is entirely under the control of money-grubbing plutocrats. Everything is for sale and the entire culture has been commodified. The problem is not just George W. Bush, for the European Left is convinced that every recent American president “has been in the pockets of the oil companies, the military-industrial complex, the agricultural lobby or the financial manipulators of Wall Street.” But, in the French view, George W. Bush is just the worst of the lot–at least as yet.

The European Left is also convinced that America is primarily marked by poverty. As Revel describes the Leftist fantasy: “Hordes of famished indigents are everywhere, while luxurious chauffeured limousines with darkened windows glide through the urban wilderness.” These same thinkers are convinced that violence reigns throughout the United States, and that gunshots commonly ring through even the most peaceable neighborhoods. As Revel acknowledges, European rants about America’s lax gun laws would have more credibility if the same weapons were not easily available for purchase through the black market in virtually every European city.

Michael Medved had this observation from his article, “Why the World Hates America”:

“The irrational nature of America Hatred comes into clearest focus with the realization that this destructive passion flourishes most spectacularly among those who have benefited most conspicuously from the existence of the U.S. You’ll find such festering resentment in Western Europe in general (France in particular), Islamic nations especially dependent on American aid, support and trade (Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, for example), among pampered, privileged stars in the entertainment industry, and on elite university campuses in the United States and around the world.”

American “America” Haters

This video shows John Kerry speaking at an international conference. Here’s a “joke” from Kerry about how one “ends” up in the military in Iraq:

Why did we decide to highlight John Kerry and the “Hate America” crowd? Kerry was the Democratic nominee for President in the last election. Kerry campaigned on the platform that America is “hated” abroad. We seem to be seeing the same type of rhetoric during this election, that America needs to “rehabilitate” itself in the “eyes” of the world. Kerry, who denigrated an entire generation of military who served during the Vietnam War, is an example of politicians who proclaim that “change” is needed in the United States in order to “raise” our “global” esteem, yet Americans need to identify just who he is pandering to.

It’s said that history repeats itself. It’s been almost 40 years since the Vietnam War and its legacy: of pulling out from a war in “defeat”, the same rhetoric being applied to Iraq, and the resurfacing of some of the seedier characters involved in the anti-war, anti-government crowd, some of whom Barack Obama has associated with.

Obama denied that he never heard his 20+ years pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright preach “hate America” sermons. We were also led to believe that Obama never spoke to other parishioners about those sermons from the man who married the Obamas and christened their children. Fair enough, we can buy Obama’s story that he had “no idea” what was being preached in his church but then there’s the matter of Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn.

Obama had his first fundraiser in the Ayers-Dohrn living room in 1996. What the press isn’t reporting nor has Obama admitted is that he was a member of the Socialist New Party at the time. Obama has also refused to release any info from his days at Harvard, Occidental, and Columbia such as papers he’s written. This is a far cry from being an “open book” especially in regards to any prior ideologies.

Obama also claimed that he had “no idea” Ayers and Dohrn were former members of the violent domestic terrorist organization that led protests against the Vietnam War and the government. Protests that included bombing the Capital Building, the Pentagon, and the New York City Metro Police Department. Obama and Ayers served together on the Chicago Annenburg Challenge board, co-founded by Ayers, Obama as President and Chairman from 1997 to 2002. Both Ayers and Dohrn were interviewed Connie Chung in 1998 on ABC News:

Ironically an article written in 2001 about Ayers’ memoir, Fugitive Days, was published on the pages on the New York Times on the morning of 911. In the piece, Ayers admitted “setting bombs” and that he felt his group “didn’t do enough”. In a previous article published in August by the Chicago Magazine, Ayers is pictured standing on an American flag. The title of the piece: “No Regrets”.

One of the Weatherman leaders was Bernardine Dohrn, a smart, magnetic figure who, in part because of her penchant for miniskirts and knee-high boots, was dubbed “La Pasionaria of the Lunatic Left” by FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. After a bomb exploded accidentally and killed three of their colleagues, Ayers and Dohrn “hooked up,” in the parlance of the day, and, since 1982, they have been married. This—violence, death, and white-hot rhetoric—is his past and Ayers insists he has no regrets. “I acted appropriately in the context of those times,” he says.

When the Chicago Magazine article was published Obama was an Illinois State Senator living in the Chicago area, serving on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge with Ayers. The board was small, at any given time, 7 to 9 members.

The Chicago Magazine article wrote about Ayers and Dohrn’s past and that Ayers was a member of the Young Socialists of America. Which leads us back to the Ayers-Dohrn living room in 1996.

People who ordinarily hold political fundraisers are not generally inclined to host them for people who hold opposing views. Neither Ayers and Dohrn are apologetic in their “hate” America government views. In fact, neither of the two are repentent and have both stated that they felt they “didn’t do it enough” in regards to taking part in bombing and anarchy, and that they’d “do it again”.

At this juncture, the Obamas were residing in the Chicago area and Obama was a State Senator yet we are led to believe that neither Obama, nor his wife, Michelle, had never seen the Chicago Magazine article. Nor had David Axelrod, a former Chicago Tribune reporter and now Obama’s political strategist and personal friend for over 15 years. Axelrod is also a friend of Marilyn Katz, a PR Whiz whom the MSM has relied on for “quotes” about Ayers.

Marilyn Katz

Just who is Marliyn Katz? Here’s a little “blurb” from Katz’s website:

“The founder and President of MK Communications, Inc. is Marilyn Katz, whose work in media and in public policy formed the basis for the firm’s creation. Trained as a sociologist, in fact, Ms. Katz has followed a dual track career. In the 1970s, Ms. Katz relocated in California where she pursued her dual interests in media and public policy. During those years, Ms. Katz worked as a writer, producer and director of educational and theatrical films. At the same time she wrote about and advocated for public policy reform of a variety of government institutions.”

Katz doesn’t mention that she too was a former member of another violent Vietnam War protest group, the Students for a Democratic Society. Axelrod and Katz have known each other for 30 years. Kartz was the one who put together the political rally where Obama gave his now famous speech in 2002 against the Iraq War. From Barackbook:

In Recalling Her 1960’s Activism, Katz Has Said She Was For “Sexual Freedom And A Democratic Socialist Paradise.”
(John J. Farmer, “Chicago’s Ready, With A New Daley,” The [Newark, NJ] Star-Ledger, 8/25/96)

Marilyn Katz Introduced Obama To An “Activist Network” In Chicago. (Jo Becker and Christopher Drew, “Pragmatic Politics, Forged On The South Side,” The New York Times, 5/11/08)

Katz, Along With Her Friend Betty Lu Saltzman, Organized The September 2002 Demonstration Against The Iraq War That Featured Obama. (Michael Crowley, “Cinderella Story,” The New Republic, 2/27/08)

Katz Describes The Event As A “Coming-Out For Obama As A Public Speaker.” (Alec MacGillis, “Finding Political Strength In The Power Of Words,” The Washington Post, 2/26/08)
Katz Has Defended Obama Against Charges That He Has Moderated His Position Since Joining The United States Senate. (Lynn Sweet, “After Cautious, Bipartisan Year, Obama Opens New Chapter,” Chicago Sun-Times, 1/22/06)

Katz, Ayers, and Dohrn were part of the anti-Vietnam War crowd who protested, and in the case of Ayers and Dohrn, admitted planting bombs. Not only were they against the war but they were also, and still are, against the government. They’re preference is to “tear it down” and build it back up into a “Utopian” socialist or communist dream. One really doesn’t know. It’s been their schtick for decades, the “hate America” crowd. “Tear it down”, “build it up”, “kill the pigs”. In case you’re too young to remember, “pigs” meant the police. Ayers also wrote his “communist manifesto” called “Prairie Fire”. Here’s a couple of snippets from Ayers’ tome regarding his group and their views on America:

“We are a guerilla organization. We are communist women and men, underground in the United States for more than four years.”

“We need a revolutionary communist party in order to lead the struggle, give coherence and direction to the fight, size power and build a new society.”

And what were Obama and Ayers so diligently working on with a budget of over $160 million on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge Board? Sol Stern wrote about Obama and Ayers’ work on “reforming” schools in Chicago:

“Indeed, the education department at the University of Illinois is a hotbed for the radical education professoriate. As Ayers puts it in one of his course descriptions, prospective K–12 teachers need to “be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and . . . be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, a teacher teaching for social justice and liberation.” Ayers’s texts on the imperative of social-justice teaching are among the most popular works in the syllabi of the nation’s ed schools and teacher-training institutes. One of Ayers’s major themes is that the American public school system is nothing but a reflection of capitalist hegemony. Thus, the mission of all progressive teachers is to take back the classrooms and turn them into laboratories of revolutionary change.”

Stern wrote in another article about Ayers and how he “dreamed of bringing the revolution from the streets to the schools”:

For students who might get bored with the purely pedagogic approach to liberation, Ayers also offers a course on the real thing, called “Social Conflicts of the 1960’s.” For this class Ayers also posts his introduction to the soon-to-be-published collection of Weather Underground agitprop that he edited with Dohrn—called, with no intended parody, Sing a Battle Song: The Revolutionary Poetry, Statements and Communiqués of the Weather Underground, 1970-1974. “Once things were connected,” Ayers’s introduction recollects, “we saw a system at work, we were radicalized, we named that system—imperialism—and forged an idea of how to overthrow it. We were influenced by Marx, but we were formed more closely and precisely by Che, Ho, Malcolm X, Amílcar Cabral, Mandela—the Third World revolutionaries—and we called ourselves small ‘c’ communists to indicate our rejection of what had become of Marx in the Soviet Block [sic]. . . . We were anti-authoritarian, anti-orthodoxy, communist street fighters.”

Obama, in regards to just two of his past associations, Wright and Ayers, would have us believe:

* That he lived his life in a sterile bubble where Wright’s sermons on “hate America” and the “KKK” never filtered through during the 20+ years he and his wife spent sitting in the pews of his church.

* All those years he spent formulating “school reform” with Bill Ayers on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge he and Ayers never discussed Ayers’ past.

* Obama would have us believe that he never read the local papers, the New York Times, or the glossy pages of the popular periodical, Chicago Magazine, with the photo of Ayers standing on the American flag in 2001 along with the article that stated Ayers had “no regrets” from his bomb planting days.

* Obama would have us believe that no one in his circle of friends, which included David Axelrod, never spoke about Ayers or Dohrn’s “penchant for activism” nor former past as members of a domestic terrorist group that bombed the Pentagon and the Capital Building.

Obama hasn’t revealed to the public his past as member of a Socialist Party when he ran for Illinois State Senate, nor will he release any of the papers he wrote as a student at Harvard, Occidental, and Columbia.

Inside his sterile bubble, Obama met with these people, were friends with them, but their “philosophies” remained “hidden” from him. Or so we’re led to believe. This begs the question: does it bode well to elect as our next President a man who, by his own admission, was “unaware” and totally clueless of what was occurring around him in regards to something as important as to philosophies and ideologies which included “hate” America?

How can a man, who claims he “didn’t know” about his minister preachig “God Damn America” while he sat in the pew, Sunday after Sunday, purportedly “listening” to the sermons by Wright, sit down with someone like Ahmadinehad in Iran?

Obama claims that in all the years he sat on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge Board with Ayers, a former unrepentent member of a group that planted bombs in the 1970’s, who continued to write about it, speak about it, and was interviewed on TV, written up by the New York Times, Obama never knew about Ayers, or about his wife Dohrn. That when he was invited to hold the very first fundraiser for Illinois State Senate, Ayers and Dohrn would have never, in a million years, had invited nor hosted someone, who’s goals weren’t “similar” to those they were very vocal about, and still are.

Obama portrays himself as the man who “didn’t know” while keeping the public in the dark and thus, “none us knows” about key information which may shed light on Obama’s prior ideology. Obama’s University papers are under lock and key. Obama won’t reveal, nor will the MSM, that Obama was a member of a Socialist Party, not when he was young college student, but when he was a full fledged adult running for the Illinois State Senate. Why should this matter to voters? Ayers and Dohrn are among some of the most virulent members of the “Hate America” crowd who’ve been pushing their agenda since the Vietnam War days, now under the guise of “activists” and professors. Millions are sitting in jail for much less offenses than setting bombs in the Pentagon and the Capital Building. These two are adored and cossetted by the Left, as “reactionaries” and “activists”.

Ayers, who admitted setting bombs, in the guise of “tearing down the government” is nothing more than a sociopath who found the “right” platform: bombing in the name of government protest. “Tear it down”, he and Dohrn proclaim. But for what? What do they want to replace our government with then they achieve their “vision” of America? The standard pablum from the Terrible Two is the tired old claptrap of Communism. Which by the way, failed miserably after millions died under the brutal regime or spent their lives in forced labor in the gulags. Apparently pushing a wheelbarrow full of money to stand in line for a week old loaf of bread appeals to the two as well as sharing an apartment with three other families and one bathroom down the communal hall.

Part of the Obama “Change” is that America needs to improve her “standing” around the globe. Yet the public is never privy to just who it is whose opinion of America has so much “standing” that we would buy, hook, line, and sinker, that America’s image is tarnished and needs “cleaning”.

We also supposed to buy into Obama’s claims that he lived in a bubble in regards to the various associates whom he knew for years who preached the most virulent and racist forms of America hate from the pulpit of a Church and planting of bombs with the gleeful plans of anarchy and bomb planting. We’re supposed to elect a man as our President who, according to his own statements, wasn’t aware of his cronies’ political views, even though Obama is a politician. A man who claims he can lead our country as Commander-In-Chief, who is on record about his plans to “leave” Iraq before there is a victory. A decision which may lead to yet another generation of military who would face the same fate as the men and women who served in Vietnam. Far from “improving” America’s standing in the world, it took years until we were once again “proud” to be Americans under the leadership of Reagan while Carter’s attempts at diplomacy during the hostage crisis in Iran had our enemies cheering in the streets.

It’s up to voters to take a hard, long look at just who “hates” America, both here and abroad. Take a look at those who want to “tear it down”. Does their “Hate America” opinion hold weight? What is their agenda?

Can we afford a President who, by his own admission, lived in “bubble”, “unaware” that friends, associates, and his 20+ years minister were preaching and teaching hate? Who has sealed all his papers from college as well as won’t reveal his past ties to a socialist party?

Obama is a great orator who inspires millons with his speeches. But he also has no record to run on. Voters are then forced to rely on personal information when looking at Obama as candidate for President. In the matter of electing the man who would be our next leader, past friendships and ideologies do hold weight. Obama knows this, otherwise, why would he seal his papers from college? If there nothing innocuous in them, then it would seem Obama would be proud for voters to read what he wrote. He’s written two memoirs so it’s not a matter of “being shy” about writing about himself and what he “believes”. Incredibly no one in the MSM has bothered to interview Ayers or Dohrn. Nor have have they investigated Obama’s association. Instead they’ve relied on information supplied by the likes of Marilyn Katz, another former member of a violent protest group from the Vietnam Era and another member of the “Hate America” crowd.

If Ayers’ school reform takes hold then its saving grace will come in the next generation or two of school children indoctrated by teachers taught in the Ayers style: those kids will grow up to overthrow the government. A government which is no longer “imperialist” or run by “dirty capitalists”, that government was subjected to “Change”. Taxpayers were mandated to “spread” their own “wealth”. Where the American dream of “making it big” was replaced by “dream small” or “dream not at all”.

Obama is a full on Moonbat. Biden may be mentally deficient. He really sounds stupid. Ignorant. Dumb. He may be a dullard. In fact , other than Charles Gibson, I have never seen anyone as much of as an airhead than Biden. I have never been impressed with Princeton grads. I spend too much time with them.

travel or talk with people from other countries….you will find truth in this

the only scary part in all this is not the stuff above in the piece, but just how many americans on both sides are so disenfranchised from reality, and so eager to grab on to any shinny object in hopes of being saved.
