I think it’s a mistake to try to tie Obama to Ayers. The public…especially independents are getting fed up with negative tone of the campaign.
That’s why, I think, the Democrats haven’t made a big deal about the results of the troopergate affair.
McCain and Palin have been on negative attack for about a week now and the polls show that Obama is widening his lead.
With the economy front and center, people want to hear their future president talking about what he’s going to do when he hits the ground running in January.
Usually negative spin works but these are extraordinary times.

But will he slam him on ACORN?!

All Obama is going to say is that Ayers was blowing things up when Obama was 8 and that will be the end of it.

If he could use ACORN, he has a double whammy–ACORN was involved with helping screw the economy AND with voter registration fraud and fraudulently cast votes. That is stuff that is going on right now!

And they will be looking for the Ayers stuff. McCain ought to tell everyone that he is going to kick Comrade Zero’s butt about Ayers and then he should never mention him the whole time. Zero will be so stumped he’ll probably bring up Ayers himself just so he can use the talking point!
