Obama Shady Campaign Contributions:
Serious Questions Surround
Almost Half of Obama Contributions
Credit Card Chicanery, Foreign Donations

Mainstream Media

Mainstream Media Not Interested

Back in May, Doug Ross made the discovery that Barack Obama was the only website that accepted foreign contributions without proof of US citizenship.

The Mainstream Press yawned.

“In May of this year I noted the fact that the Obama campaign ran the only website that permitted donations from foreign countries without any proof of citizenship.”

The MSM is still yawning–when they take time out from digging through dumpsters looking for their next big break in the Joe the Plumber story.

Now, Ross is writing about the Obama campaign disabling safeguards so that even Osama bin Laden can make a credit card contribution to his favorite agent of ‘Change!’.

From Doug Ross@Journal: The Obama Campaign’s Massive Credit Card Scandal

You know how ACORN registered thousands of bogus voters like Mickey Mouse and Daffy Duck? ACORN’s handlers at the Obama campaign seem to be accepting contributions from Mickey and Daffy too.

It turns out that the Obama campaign’s crack team of fundraisers decided to turn off all security validation for credit-card donations. Want to enter the name Pedro Martinez when the credit-card belongs to Arnold Fizbin? Need to use the ZIP code 99999 when the card owner’s ZIP is 02154? No problem! The Obama campaign doesn’t care!

In order for this to occur, the “Address Verification System has to be specifically disabled to allow this fraud.”

If this happened on the McCain-Palin08 website, a gaggle of reporters would descend on the story and the BREAKING! graphic would likely melt down on CNN from overuse–if one can image that.

Andrew McCarty, Ross notes, has estimated that almost half of Obama’s contributions–nearly $200 million–have questions surrounding them. Where are the vetting agents of Big Media?

Well, yesterday they were writing about the Republican National Committee’s budget for Sarah Palin’s wardrobe.

Estimates ranged as high as–brace yourself–$150,000. We’ll be the first to admit that reporters are not always the smartest people in the world, so perhaps the large numbers involved in the Obama contributions story have given them trouble.

The New York Times, TIME and Newsweek might consider hiring math tutors.

Ross ends up:

In summary: the five-year stock price of the New York Times

While the Times’ CSI unit probes Joe the Plumber’s health records and scrutinizes Sarah Palin’s shoe bills, an election is well nigh being stolen right under their very eyes. Although this scandal is a doozy, the Times is silent about this flagrant abuse of election law.

Eleven days remain until the election… hundreds of millions of dollars in illegal and foreign donations appear to have flowed into Obama’s coffers… and Manhattan’s Pravda can’t rustle up a story. Not to worry. I give them six months.

Don’t let these criminals steal the election. Vote.

There’s much more in Ross’ complete post.

The dereliction of duty in the Mainstream Press in 2008 has been breath-taking.

For students of history, one of the only advantages to living through times of great corruption is being able to say later, “I was there. I witnessed it.”

One only has to determine which corruption is worse: the shadiness of Obama campaign’s contribution mechanisms or the silence in the toothless watchdog press.

I few weeks a go I was browsing through campaign financing and thought it was odd that even though Obama suddenly declared to no longer be tied down by PAC and Lobbyist Money, there was more than a comfortable number of “unemployed” people donating at much as $7500.

Doesn’t the low and middle income democrats wonder why the rich elite would donate more than $600 billion when an Obama tax plan is intended to strike at the “wealthy” trying to purchase the Presidency? I consider the low percentage of benevolence of the elites to charitable causes while taking in more than a $1 billion from special interests to be a key indicator that Obama’s tax plan is to move more wealth upwards and to the left.

Socialism doesn’t look too bad if you convince the uneducated or blind that the redistribution benefits the small business or the poor when historically socialism moves money from the middle class into the government upper class elites.

We have never been so close to having a socialist dictator in this country as we are right now with Obama.

The change Obama is talking about is moving the US from a Democratic Republic as described in the Constitution, to Socialist Fascism.

Less than 20% of Obama’s money come from contributions less than $200. The vast majority are large contributions often repeated under fictitious names. That is why the credit card verification is dis enabled. One contributor used over a hundred names. The RNC should have filed fraud charges immediately. In Federal Court because the FEC famously takes years to hear cases against Dems, hours agaist the GOP.

    kmp,

Reporting corruption does not constitute hate. The amazing amount of unaccounted for money in the Obama campaign is a huge story. The fact that a person can give multiple times on the same credit card is not just wrong, it’s against the law.

My joy and spirit does not come from politics or victories by politicians, regardless of parties.

Just as I would feel no joy from a McCain win–but perhaps I’d admit to a sigh of relief–I would feel none from an Obama victory. I differ from McCain on many issues, but do agree with him about a couple.

Concerning Obama, he seems like a likable guy, but then so does the paperboy.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, read and comment.

I’m think I’ll vote as many times as I can. Government doesn’t seem to mind any more.

Go McCain/Palin! It’s in the bag now. The way I figure all I need is a handfull of mail-in ballots and a copy machine.

The total lack of reporting on the Obama fund raising scandal is nothing short of shameful. You would think Obama supporters (including almost all of the mass media) would at least be curious if he was accepting foreign donations. When did breaking the law, especially by a presidential candidate become so boring as not to report it, much less repute or god forbid investigate it?
Hate has nothing to do with it. It’s called breaking the law, and the last time I checked that was supposed to be investigated and prosecuted.
The other thing I find shameful is that so many Obama supporters have no problem with even the thought of foreign money being contributed to a presidential campaign. It simply boggles my mind.
If there were the same accusations of a republican the media and libs would have a never ending story. What a bunch of hypocrites..
