Some pages of the new party site say that he was a member, other pages only say endorsed. Some people have tried to use this to say that Obama canâ€™t help it if someone endorses him. But there is no question that he was a member, and not just endorsed. The Illinois New Party Contract required that he be a member. They would not have endorsed him, if he wasnâ€™t a member.
