Former senator and presidential candidate John Edwards will speak about election results and answer questions during a lecture Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Indiana University Auditorium, the Indiana Memorial Union Board announced today.

His talk will focus on what the results mean for America’s political and economic future. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be followed by a question and answer session.

The lecture is co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Residence Halls Association, IU College Democrats, and Young Democrats of Indiana, according to the union board.

I’d frankly never thought of that, but I suppose that could be the case. If John Edwards ever gains a conscience, he should give his family some peace by changing his name and just disappearing from the public world.

I suspect Rielle is cut from the same cloth, lying when it suits her needs. I don’t feel sorry for Rielle – she was looking for fame and fortune and thought she hit the mother load in Edwards.

As my mother always told me – don’t get involved with a married man – he’ll only bring you heartache.

I don’t know anything definitive WRT his whereabouts, but most sources I’ve seen say he visits with, but is not living with his family. But then again, if you have a 25,000 sq.ft house, you could be living apart from your spouse and still be under the same roof.

America needs to understand what Elizabeth Edwards leaned the hard way: John Edwards is a pathological liar.

It’s not an epithet; it’s the truth. John Edwards lies reflexively. There is no conscious thought. He doesn’t plan to lie, it just comes out that way. Incapable of telling the truth, his truly brilliant but tragic brain runs overtime conjuring scenarios counter to reality, so that if he’s ever cornered, he instantly has a coherent, plausible alternate version of reality to explain what other people have ‘misunderstood’.

If Elizabeth Edwards has ever experienced true ‘horror’, it was the unremarkable and otherwise forgettable day sometime in the past 25 years of their marriage when she caught him in a blatant, although benign lie. Some situation in which there was no particular reason for John to lie, but he did it anyway. Something completely nonsensical to lie about, like what he had for breakfast, or who he bumped into the other day. It served no purpose other than to confirm for him that his world was the real one. He controlled reality. And he still does (in his own mind).
