And lo, it came to be that The Annointed One travelled to the place called Lansing and spoke these beattitudes to the masses who worshipped Him as Savior.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the Kingdom of Hope.”
“Blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted with Change.”
“Blessed are those who properly inflate: for they shall inherit THE OIL.”
“Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be FILLED with Hope.”
“Blessed are the Environmentalists: for they shall change the climate and restore the ice caps.”
“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see Me.”
“Blessed are the Democrats: for they shall be called the children of The Messiah.”
“Blessed is Me who is persecuted for righteousness’ sake:
for Mine is the kingdom of Washington.
Blessed is Me, when men shall revile Me, and persecute Me,
and shall say all manner of evil against Me falsely, for their sake.”
“Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great Hope is your reward in Washington!”
