Mystery Foot Found on Lake Heron Beach
American Missing Foot Find
DBKP has reported extensively on the missing feet washing up on Canadian British Columbian shores.
We’ve reported how Americans, who felt left behind in the race, asked the Loonies if they could supply the bodies. But now Michigan has stepped up the ante. They’ve found a foot!
Foot found on Lake Huron beach in U.S.
Of course we went to the Canadians to ask for help in identifying the body. I mean the whole world knows how Canada has random feet identification down to to science.
“Michigan police are looking to the British Columbia RCMP for help identifying the source of a detached foot found washed up on a Lake Huron beach, around 60 kilometres from the Canadian border.”
Now I don’t want to be presumptious here, but let me take a shot at this.
British Columbia, which is awash in dead people’s feet, has managed to identify one foot over a couple of years. They haven’t bothered to look at the missing persons registry to identify the foot, which was originally attributed to an air crash, then a boat sinking, etc. To say they are incompetent is a complement. But America, in an effort to brag that we are equally stupid (or to get a leg up), asks a ‘law enforcement’ agency over a thousand miles away, that happens to be awash in feet, for help? I somehow doubt that a BC foot managed to cross the Northwest Passage and make its way up the Saint Laurence Seaway to Lake Huron. Pardon me, but both these agencies must be staffed by idiots.
There are other theories. Likely from low level staffers who had to step up to be noticed.
“But U.S. investigators said yesterday the foot may be from a Detroit lawyer suspected drowned in a mysterious incident from August, 2005, that still puzzles police… The most likely source of the foot, he said, is Charles (Chuck) Rutherford, 35, who is presumed dead along with his girlfriend, Lana Ann Stempien, also 35. The couple reportedly drowned on a boat trip that started in Belle River, Ont., a lake community near Windsor, in August, 2005.
Their 27-foot cabin cruiser was found unoccupied and running with all of their clothes inside. The body of Ms. Stempien, a model turned lawyer, was discovered two weeks after the boat turned up and near where the foot was found Monday.”
You know this is easy stuff to check out. His parents are alive. Either one could provide the requisite DNA. It is scary that we have such foolish people in charge of our safety. Truly scary.
As for the death of this couple. I have no idea what happened. Her body had no wounds, etc. But being around water all my life, the most common cause of “death boats”, that is deserted boats with the occupants never found, is all occupants entering the water at the same time and no one being able to climb back in the boat. Whether it be a swim, an attempted rescue, or an inexperienced person at the helm who cannot pick up the overboard sailor, never go over board without a knotted line or ladder. And remember the vessels, even with no power, is still sailing and you are not. Even if you make it to the hull, you will be unable to get purchase on a hull deck only 3 feet above you. You will die.
