She’s 44, an ex-beauty queen mom with 5 kids, former sports reporter, pro-life and pro-gun two-year Governor of Alaska, and John McCain’s VP pick.

Palin has a reputation as being a tough as nails reformer. According to Nat Hentoff at Jewish World Review, Palin was elected in 2006 as Alaska’s youngest and first woman Governor who has “earned a reputation as a determined and successful advocate of ethics reform in politics”.

Palin and her husband, Todd, are parents of five children, the youngest, a boy with Down Syndrome.

Palin’s first reaction to the diagnosis was to research the facts about the condition, since “I’ve never had problems with my other pregnancies.” As a result, she and her husband, Todd, never had any doubt they would have the child.

“We’ve both been very vocal about being pro-life,” she told the Associated Press. “We understand that every innocent life has wonderful potential.”

Palin, the first woman Governor of Alaska, defeated incumbent Republican Governor Frank Murkowski in the primaries, and defeated former two-tern Democrat governor Tony Knowles in the election. DBKP has more about Palin in “Who is Sarah Palin?”

So what are the odds that a 72 year-old (e.g. McCain) will die in the next 4 years of his life? I’d guess it must be at least 20%. Are people gonna take a 20% chance that someone this inexperienced could be the President of the United States? It’s nuts!

Actually Palin has as much or more experience than Obama, who is on top of the Dem’s ticket.

Palin believes that creationsim should be taught in schools.

Palin doesn’t believe that global warming exists.

Palin doesn’t believe that a woman has a right to an abortion–even in cases of rape or incest.

Palin has two years experience as Gov of a small state, and is herself embroiled in a tawdry ethics investigation regarding abuse of power.

Palin was Mayor of a small town that was left in debt after she left office.

Look, I was not on the Obama train. I was prepared to sit this election out. Yesterday changed that for me. No way on earth would I not vote for Obama now.

I understand how ppl are worried about mccain kickin the bucket and palin runnin the country… BUT, wouldn’t you rather have someone running our country who CARES about our country and who will stand up for us? Obama refuses to salute our flag and refuses to participate in our national anthem.. To me, He should not be running for president of this wonderful, free country if he cannot be proud of it. I feel that because of his actions and refusals, he is ashamed of our country. AND SHOWING IT! I would much rather our country stay right where it’s at than have someone running it that cannot even stand up for what he is looking to run. I feel that if he does not like the country he is in and is ashamed of it then he should leave and go try and run a country he can be more proud of and put his beliefs in. This man (if you’d even call him that) MAKES ME SICK! As well as anyone who is willing to put such a biast hypocrit in the presidential office of our wonderful country!!!
