Speaking of a cover up: I thought I saw last week a web site that listed all the things Lisa Druck had been arrested for. I checked The Smoking Gun just now, as it seemed the most likely place for such info, but couldn’t find anything. Do you remember this? Maybe I have the wrong web site. Anyway, I couldn’t easily find the info … Thought I would mention this just in case that information also has disappeared.

John Edwards was a personal injury attorney – which explains a lot. I’m sure that Elizabeth Edwards is now learning more about Rielle and her husband. Maybe Eliz. is now realizing that the baby is indeed her husband’s child. i hope that Eliz. Edwards does leave him. I’m sorry she is sick, but sick or not, she is probably better off witihout him.

The former campaign finance chairman for John Edwards said this morning he was unaware of Edwards’ affair with campaign videographer Rielle Hunter when he paid to move her to California last year.

In an e-mail this morning to The News & Observer, Dallas lawyer Fred Baron wrote, “I will re-state what I have previously stated on one point: I learned of the affair only a few weeks ago and had previously presumed that the ‘tabloid’ stuff was all bogus…”

…A key national fundraiser for Democratic Party causes, Baron released his own statement Friday declaring that he had decided independently, without notifying Edwards, to help Hunter and Young “rebuild their lives when harassment by supermarket tabloids made it impossible for them to conduct a normal life.” He paid for their move from Chapel Hill to California…

…According to an article published Sunday, Baron told The New York Post that Hunter, Young and Young’s family lived together in California until tension in the household grew.

“They lived in a single house most of the time and split to two houses recently,” Baron told The Post.

I like your first point, in particular. And I suspect Mrs. Edwards has always know what she’s married to. Phonies like Edwards are convincing if you’re only exposed to them in small doses, like 99.999% of Americans are. Once you spend a some time with them,…well, it’d take someone like Lisa Druck to not see through his B.S. screen.
