It is simple folks follow the money to its end points
and you find the extortionists: Rielle Hunter, Andrew Young and Bob McGovern. When John Edwards confessed on nation wide TV, their extortion plot failed.
So, of course they are being silent now. As for the
“ho”, Rielle Hunter, she has always been the source
for the National Enquierer. They paid her BIG money.
In addition,
I think Rielle Hunter (aka Lisa Druck) has only narrowed the list of possible fathers down to
about 12 men, and that is why she will not get
a “paternity test, now, or in the future”.

Some good points.

However, I think we differ on what constitutes “real issues”.

For nine months, the MSM didn’t discuss this or the coverup because it “was in the Enquirer”. Now, that the story is confirmed by Edwards himself…some say that it’s “distracting from the real issues”. This can always be a reason not to discuss, investigate or report news.

There will always be other issues, no matter when this story was confirmed. A discussion of it back in December would have been helpful–mainly, because Edwards championed one of the issues you name, namely health care, while running for president. As will come out in the coming weeks, this story will touch on several issues aside from the story of the affair and the cover up and who was involved in it.

Elizabeth, I don’t think anyone did anything with the intent to harm anyone’s family. Why would they possibly do that? Well, a mistress might do something to harm someone’s family. But exposing a cheating candidate? I think that has a lot more to do with elections than family. I appreciate that it caused the family pain, but nobody wants to hurt a family (again, except an angry mistress). So if you have insider knowledge about the Enquierer’s source and it points to hurting the family, I think you might be pointing your finger at the wrong person… And a mistress might want “the truth” to come out… just speculating. It seems like enough people knew. Why did they bother covering it up? Sad. Let’s all start paying attention to what really matters: Guantanamo, young kids losing their brave lives in Iraq, health care, the economy. This is distracting us from the real issues.

Yep.. there’s some real battle going on between the Edwards camp and Hunter’s family. Her sister “let slip” that Edwards is the father, and claimed he had her hidden somewhere.

Did you read the NY Times, the lawyer for Rielle and the lawyer for Young was recommended by Fred Baron. The lawyer
for Young who originally spoke for Young and confirmed he was the child’s dad is no longer on the case. The lawyer
spokesperson for Rielle who claims she doesn’t want a DNA test, is still on the case, but why, why does she need a lawyer to speak for her, is having a child committing a crime.

Actually the appearance of Hunter, saying in her words as she has said to Pigeon sh..t obrien and the Enquirer, that the
baby belongs to John Edwards, we know that Pigeon s…t is the source that sold the story to the Enquirer, that appeared
in the Oct. 2006, issue of the rag,for money and to ruin Edwards and his family. Timeline is the same stated in the Enquirer who said source had received streamy e-mails from Rielle regarding the affair. Sisters appearing and saying
Edwards is the father and making statements such as if she were Elizabeth she would throw Edwards out. I guess so
John can fall directly in the arms his whore, of course Rielle didn’t target Edwards, she only picked him up at a bar. Prostitutes hang out at hotel bars to pick up rich men.. I guess John didn’t know that, poor innocent guy you got trapped.
