Saudi Interfaith Conference in Madrid to Root Out Hate
The Outraged Spleen of Zion has a piece on an upcoming conference sponsored by the Muslim World League. Invitees on the list include Al Gore, the Archbishop of Canterbury, a representative from the Vatican, and the head of the inter-religious affairs of the American Jewish Committee.

The conference is scheduled to be held next week in Madrid and sponsored by the Muslim World League who has been under the scrutiny of the U.S. Treasury Department and has earned the designation of being an organization that has provided “financial and material support to al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations”.
MWL secretary-general Abdullah Al- Turki told the Saudi Press Agency that the conference would seek “to isolate those forces that try to promote hatred and create conflicts.â€
We wondered, which “forces” are Al-Turki referring to? We’d be surprised to see al-Queda on the list. The irony is thick, the conference is “interfaith” yet Saudi Arabia explicitly forbids Bibles or other Christian paraphernalia from entering their country.
