Although a "clingy" control freak on the Real Housewives of Orange Couty, he was somewhate masculine. Now with the new "look" on the new show Date my Ex (ie: Berets, chains, euro-scarves, tight clothing) along with effeminiate gestures and facial expressions from time to time, he comes across as Jo's bitchy gay best friend rather than as a concerned and hetero ex-fiancé. I think we are getting to understand with each episode of Date my Ex why the marriage never happened on the Real Housewives. I would rather he came clean and see a show entitled "The Real Slade" and let him find the alternative love he evidently is seeking/needing in life.
