Pompous Professor Busted for Child Porn
The Case Of Pompous Professor Pornography
Ever meet that jackass that demands to be the center of intellect? The smartest man or woman in the room, by his or her estimation?.

Yeah I know it is rare. We are not talking about the timid, self-effacing fellow who raises his hand at a meeting and points out something so deep that everyone says “Damn”, “Sheesh”, or “Boss can I have this guy alone for a few minutes?”.
No. We are talking about MR. BIG. The pompous ass who needs to tell the world how to live. The guy who has thought through everything and considers everyone around him to be an idiot.
Of course you’ve met him. It was the last time you talked to someone who thinks Al Gore is smart.
Well, The Newsleader, a paper from the Shenandoah Valley, has a delightful tale about such a creep. This “Professor” of Psychology at Mary Baldwin College, Chadwick Blackwell, (if that really is his name), was summoned to jury duty. Unlike the hundred of thousands who are called and serve throughout the USA, Chad felt compelled to speak out at the trial stage. (”Stage? Am I on stage? I feel pretty oh so pretty!”)
“In April 2007, Blackwell made news during the jury trial of a Crimora woman accused in the drowning death of her 11-month-old daughter. As a juror in the case, Blackwell caused a mistrial when he interrupted the proceedings and offered his personal take on the interrogation of the woman by sheriff’s office investigators. While jurors watched a videotape of the questioning in open court, he demanded the tape be stopped.
“As a psychologist, this strikes me as coercive,” Blackwell blurted.
Minutes later, Circuit Judge Thomas H. Wood declared the mistrial and offered choice words for Blackwell.
“He is pompous and arrogant beyond belief,” Wood said at the time.”
It would strike me as coercive to listen to such an ass. We are discussing the death of a baby.
But there is a God. We know this because:
Former MBC professor indicted on child porn charges
“STAUNTON — The Staunton grand jury directly indicted a former Mary Baldwin College psychology professor Monday on 26 counts of possession of child pornography after a student reportedly found the images on a campus desktop computer in October, according to the Staunton Police Department.
The indictments were handed down against Chadwick Blackwell, 40, of Staunton in Staunton Circuit Court.
Blackwell had been under suspicion since Oct. 19 when the student told officials at the college about seeing the images the day before, police said. The college waited four days to report the incident to the Staunton Police Department.”
We know which Judge wants the case.
Now it is time to get Chad a shrink.

I knew Chad Blackwell when he was a kid. He was sweet and kind. Not sure what happened, if anything. There is a thing in this country called Innocent until proven guilty. Why don’t we wait to get the facts before judging someone.

Chad was a professor and friend of mine. He is a smart and down to earth man, but it is sad to hear that his intelligence and assertiveness has deemed him an ass in the eyes of those who wrote and support this article. And although there are individuals who disagreed with Chad, there must have been some validity to his statement of coercion in the case of the child drowning because the trial was dismissed. But I do not want to get caught in the minutia. I just hope that you all won’t be so vindictive and quick to negatively judge or wish anyone harm because you do not like them.

A few years ago I was a Psychology student instructed by Chad. I loved him then and I love him now. My memories are that of a man who loved teaching and loved what he taught. He often spoke regarding his family–smiling and full of pride (not of the arrogant kind.)
It hurts me to see him going through these difficulties. We all, at some point in life suffer at the very least a “private hell.” Those who have to suffer it both privately and in the public eye are the most unfortunate.
My opinion of Chad hasn’t changed and it won’t. We all have at the very least an unwholesome thought from time to time. I believe those who are quick to judge the accusations or allegations of others often times are the one’s with the most to hide and so long as the flesh is being picked from Chad’s bones (for example) their own indiscretions or behaviors seem safer and more hidden.
Chad, if you read these things–you are human first of all. Sometimes we can’t find excuses for our behavior but I believe there are always reasons why we choose to do, or choose not to do certain things.
I choose to remember the energetic, driven, dedicated and beautiful man with a gift. If every mistake or allegation thereof appeared all over the internet of every person on the earth…..every system would crash, likely to never return.
We each need to examine ourselves and spend less time in judgement of others.
Chad, if you ever feel alone, and undoubtedly overwhelmed, I hope your family has your back. If not, know you have a friend who continues to respect you.

I had Chad for a class years ago. I found him earnest and well-meaning, but incredibly naive about the world. He really thinks people are good and that all
‘badness’ can be explained away.
Yes, he is pompous and arrogant also, because he cannot see how his view of the world is so slanted.
Am I surprised about the child porn? To be honest, yes. But I have found that people can and do hide dark demons from others.
I’d just like to know how he would explain away his own evi.
