Is the Democratic Party suicidal?
The head of the DNC’s religious outreach, Leah Daughtry who, in addition to believing that God finds abortion acceptable (something I find hard to swallow even as an agnostic), is a believer in the same Marxist “Black Liberation Theology” preached by Reverend Wright. This from a glowing puff piece about Ms. Daughtry from the New York Times:
Behind her as she preached, a simple wooden cross hung on a brick wall in the vaulted and sizable sanctuary of the church, which is headed by her father, Herbert Daughtry. A prison convert who served time in his early 20s for armed robbery and passing bad checks, Herbert Daughtry — whose father founded the church and whose grandfather and great-grandfather were also ministers — became the church’s pastor 50 years ago, and today Leah was delivering the sermon as part of an anniversary celebration. Below the sanctuary, in the fellowship hall, a banner for slavery reparations proclaimed, “They Owe Us.” Fliers recounted Herbert Daughtry’s arrest, a few weeks earlier, as he led marchers protesting the not-guilty verdict in the police killing of Sean Bell, an unarmed black man. His ministry has always combined consuming spirituality with black liberation theology — the theology Jeremiah Wright invoked this spring to defend his controversial sermons — and zealous political activism. Leah holds these forces within her.
But wait there’s more!
This New York-born Pentecostal minister is not only the head of their religious outreach, she’s the CEO of the Democratic National Convention! That’s right, the CEO of the DNC is a MARXIST!
Folks…do we really need any more proof?

I have been giving money both to the DNC and to the Barack Obama campaign. Now I understand that a high ranking DNC member Leah Daughtry is funding anti Gay, Creationist, and Anti Choice agendas within the Democratic party. What is happening to the Democrats? I’m not giving one more cent nor am I willing to support any Democrat until I get a response about this issue. I’m encouraging all of my friends and colleagues to withhold financial support from the DNC and from the Barack Obama campaign until we get a response about this outrage.

You can not be correct in anything if your foundation premise is wrong. Black Liberation Theology is not against white people..it is to help black people gain the rights of all people. It is the belief that through Jesus you can work for social justice as well as equality. Those useing fear and lies do this nation no service.
We can have disagreements without hate or fear…those on the left are not marxists, just as those on the Right are not facists. We have different prespectives on how to go about things..one side is not better then the other, we all want what is best for our country. People who use fear for political purposes, useing those who know no better are no better then the Marxists or Facists that were dictators…I am a white woman who did some home work to discover what was truth. I did not go to those who have a reason to spread fear, I did not go to sites that just spread what was said on outher sites..a lie that is repeated again and again is still a lie. I went to the person who founded the concept of Black Liberation Theology in an educational site.

Very good point: not all on the Left are Marxists, not all on the right are Fascists.
You are right in saying that Black Liberation Theology in its purest form is benign. However, it’s not always presented in its benign form.
