–continued from part 1
Ironically Sinclair claimed he recently received a letter from Social Security that informed him his SS disability payments were being denied. The same claim he made in his Colorado warrant motion to dismiss. Sinclair also claimed that he and his mother have had death threats and threats of physical harm from Obama supporters. Sinclair wrote in his 2004 motion to dismiss an identical claim, that he and his “family” were victims of death threats and threats of physical harm.
Sinclair also has a past history of filing lawsuits. While he was incarcerated on a 16-yr sentence in Colorado prison Sinclair filed 9 civil rights lawsuits and 5 civil courts suits. He’s also filed two lawsuits in Federal courts since he announced his accusations against Obama at the end of January. The first suit, filed in a Minnesota Federal Court against Obama, David Axelrod, and the D.N.C., claimed they had conspired to take away Sinclair’s right to free speech, was thrown out by the judge who cited a lack of evidence to support Sinclair’s claims. Sinclair has an ongoing lawsuit against three anonymous posters on the Democratic Underground forum for $3 million in the D.C. Federal Court claiming the three had conspired to “slander” Sinclair, damaging his “reputation”. The attorney Sinclair hired to represent him in the D.C. case, Montgomery Blair Sibley, was suspended from practicing law in Florida and D.C. in May.
Sinclair, who was released early from his Colorado prison sentence, stated during a radio interview on The Right Perspective that when he “met” Obama in Chicago back in November of 1999 that he was trafficking “two to three hundred thousand a month in illegals drugs”. If this statement is true then Sinclair has admitted he was engaged in illegal activities while he was still was on parole in Colorado. Sinclair also admitted that he was arrested on November 8, 1999, in Colorado, on one of the dates that he claimed he “met” up with Obama. (Sinclair has revised the “dates” he met up with Obama several times)
Sinclair has a penchant for threatening legal action especially whenever a detractor “digs too close to the truth”. Commenters on Sinclair’s website face having their IP addresses published if it’s been “determined” by Sinclair they are the “enemy”. Sinclair has threatened to “contact” authorities numerous times, claiming “enemies” have “infiltrated” his website, hijacking long time supporter’s “nicnames” referring to them as “clones”. Sinclair’s latest allegation is that bloggers on other sites are attempting to “tamper with evidence” and “judges” in the Delaware matter.

Since Sinclair has failed to provide evidence that Obama was within ten miles, much less in the same rented limo, then the onus falls on Sinclair’s “word”, whether one can believe Sinclair’s claims without concrete proof. In order to judge one’s veracity one relies on whether the person making claims has credibility. So far Sinclair has not only failed to be credible but has also emerged as someone who’s not afraid to use the courts to threaten or harass people, even though he, himself, is currently embroiled in not one, but two criminal matters stemming from incidents that occurred after he supposedly met Obama. (There’s also a possibility of a third outstanding criminal matter in Texas)
The “conspiracies” that Sinclair claims to be the target of serve a purpose. They help obfuscate the very real fact that Sinclair, an admitted ex-con, may not be as “earnest” as his persona in the first Youtube video. Sinclair, who orginally claimed he only wanted Obama “to come clean” about his prior drug use “for the good of the country” has now accused the Senator of being a “closet homosexual” who ruthlessly “murdered” a former gay choirmaster at his church because the two were “engaged in a homosexual relationship”. This accusation, of the involvement of Obama in the death of Donald Young, emerged from Sinclair’s website during March, a time when visits to Sinclair’s site were at an all time low. What was once a matter of alleged quickie gay sex and crack cocaine at the end of January, turned into “death threats” and Obama being involved in a murder, all on the say-so of Sinclair.
Sinclair, who previously stated that he had attempted to contact the Obama campaign by emails last fall and was “ignored”, began to claim in March that he had “evidence” that proved Obama was in a “relationship” with Donald Young and that Obama had had Young murdered. What proof did Sinclair have to back up these newest allegations?
Sinclair alleges he was contacted by phone several times in late fall and early winter by a man who claimed he was “Donald Young”. He also claimed “Young” told him he was calling as a representative of the Obama campaign. This despite Sinclair stating the Obama camp had “ignored” him.
Sinclair, who before March, steadfastly maintained that the reason he was “coming forward” with his drug allegations against Obama was that Obama could “come clean” about his prior drug use, now claimed that he also had information that led him to believe that Obama had not only had a sexual relationship with Donald Young, but that Obama had Young murdered to “keep him silent”. This ratcheted up the tone of Sinclair’s website, his supporters now believed they were involved in something even more dramatic than just exposing Obama’s alleged use of illegal drugs and sex, but now murder and death threats, all on Sinclair’s “say-so”.
Sinclair’s supporters had become rejuvenated. They turned themselves into veritable cyber-sleuths attempting to “expose” Obama. They made a pledge to “save the world” from evil Obama with Sinclair as their Savior. Sinclair added more fuel to the evil Obama fire by claiming he had received death threats against himself and his mother, a curious addition to Sinclair’s website.
Sinclair’s mother, or at least she and Sinclair claim it’s his mother, began posting on his website several months ago. A staunch supporter of her son, Sinclair’s mother, who calls herself Mary, reminds supporters to keep filling Sinclair’s cash coffers and that his criminal past was merely a matter of Sinclair “making mistakes”. At no time has Sinclair nor his “mother” shown any regret nor has there been any attempts to apologize, especially to his victims, for his past crimes. Instead Sinclair has woven together a convoluted tale of purported illegal drug use, gay sex, murder, death threats, political prisoners, and a vast conspiracy between Senator Obama, Biden, Biden’s son, the D.C. Metro police, the D.C. courts, Obama supporters, Whitehouse.com, and the blog, The Mitch and Nan Show.
Supporters believe Sinclair was held as “political prisoner” while ensconced in the D.C. jail. Not because Sinclair actually did have an outstanding warrant from Delaware, but that it was much more “believable” that not only did Obama and his supporters conspire to have Sinclair “silenced” but that now Senator Biden and his son were also willing to “cover” for Obama and have an innocent man, Sinclair, thrown in the slammer in order to “silence” him. This despite the fact that the arrest came after Sinclair had his press conference at the National Press Club.
Sinclair hits up supporters for “cash” donations which Sinclair claims he’s now using to pay for a retainer for a Delaware attorney. Yet things are never so simple with Sinclair, as he claimed he had hired a top-notch lawyer the day before his arraignment on July 3. Supporters on Sinclair’s website were elated until Sinclair, as if on cue, announced the attorney had “backed” out at the last minute. Sinclair then announced that he would report the attorney to the Delaware bar. The drama esculated until Sinclair posted on his website that he was able to procure another attorney at the last possible moment thus saving himself being represented by a public defender.
Sinclair won’t fess up to what occurred last fall in Delware that led to this latest date with the Delaware criminal court system even though he’s not been shy about hitting up supporters for cash “donations” through his Paypal account for a “retainer”.
Sinclair claims he is the victim of a vast conspiracy, that Senator Obama will eventually “silence” him. His mother echoed the same sentiment, posting a warning to supporters that her son would end up dead at the hands of Obama. Sinclair’s supporters are literally buying it, hook, line, and Paypal sinker.
Sinclair also has involved his supporters in attacking his detractors. Calling other blogs, most noticably The Mitch and Nan Show, the “cesspool”, Sinclair asks his supporters to look up detractor’s IP addresses, web hosts, the names of the owner of the blogs, their home addresses and phone numbers, and then posts this info on his website.
Sinclair also claims the Mitch and Nan blog is being run by Republican operatives. Which turns logic on it’s head: Why would Republicans run a blog which seeks to expose Sinclair as a con-man whose accusations against Senator Obama, a Democrat running for President, are patently false?
Despite all of Sinclair’s cries of multiple conspiracies there remains one simple fact: It’s been five plus months since Larry Sinclair first published his infamous Youtube video alleging he’d met up with Obama for illegal drugs and gay sex. Sinclair has failed to provide bonafide proof to back up those allegations. Nor has he provided solid proof on his newest set of allegations, that he spoke several times with Donald Young, and that Obama was involved in Young’s murder or that the D.C. police and Delware courts were in cahoots with Senator Obama when they arrested Sinclair, or that Republican operatives are running a subversive website attempting to expose Sinclair with “lies”.
Time will tell how long Sinclair’s supporters will continue to “support” Sinclair with their own hard earned cash. We can envision Sinclair sitting someday in a Delaware prison cell, not because of some Obama “conspiracy”, but because Sinclair is a career criminal who can’t seem to keep himself away from committing crimes, all the while, visions of fresh conspiracies and new civil lawsuits dancing in his head.

By in large a pretty good piece of work. Thus far Sinclair has followed a pretty classic “grifter” model in his operation, including the constant “smoke and mirror” presentation of so-called evidence and, when doubts arise, raising the ante by throwing in new charges (likewise with no proof of any kind). Anyone who has dealt with con artists will be pretty familiar with the drill (including the extremely abusive responses to any serious questions or the slightest suggestion of doubt - another standard con man stock in trade).
What is interesting about Sinclair is the question of who else is involved. His “career” is that of a pretty standard low-level flim flam man. Then quite suddenly he pops up all over the net with videos, web sites etc. Had he been taking some computer courses while in the pen, or is there a slightly larger network of operators involved here? My bet is on some extra players.
As for the so-called donations through Pay Pal - some day some of the die hard will start wondering about where there money went. Up until recently, this was the main smart move that Sinclair was making. His original requests for moneies were kind of cute since what he was basically saying (once you cut through the broiler plate) was “I want money, send it to me.” Oddly enough, some amount of people did just that. I don’t get it, but I am not even sure if this is even illegal. Stupid, yes.

Dennis - I think this is more about getting them to finance his lifestyle. It’s the grifter version of the perpetual campaign. At one point, when his SSI checks got cut off, someone came up with the idea of getting a trust fund together for him.
This is moving from the grift to a cult. Rigidly controlled behavior, turning on those who raise questions, ruling by fear, self-policing - it’s all there. I’m not sure that he planned it this way, but he certainly hasn’t discouraged it. He tapped into a sub-Jerry Springer crowd. Hell - Mitch went on the radio and they predictably started squawking about how his accent was fake.
However, I think there are a few folks on his web-lie that don’t believe him. They just want Obama destroyed and if it costs them a couple thousand, well, it’s a small price to pay for making sure a black guy doesn’t become president.
