Hate to sound like a bootlicker, but I have to agree with admin. No one is outraged with Edwards. This post, and most of the ones I’m reading, are outraged at the complete blackout and apparent media cover-up of what he has done. Vitter ( a Republican ) nails a prostitute and it’s all over the media, several times. Edwards gets caught red-handed seeing a woman after mdnight who is close to him and has born an illegitimate child and not one single person at CBS, NBC, ABC, or CNN has a question. When questioned about their lack of questions, they mumble lame excuses that would never pass the smell test of why they felt so compelled to talk about Vitter and all the other Republicans that got crucified for doing much, much, less.

So, jc, the OBVIOUS deduction here is hypocrisy, thy name is media.

Now, draw what ever assumptions you want jc, but according to their own “poll”, 95% of MSM consider themselves Democrat.

I’m not sure it’s limited by party affiliation.

I would address all of your sweeping generalizations, but have an appointment in about 5 hours….I will spare a few moments to address one of them. Let me see…

It is obviously difficult to tell whether or not this story is true.

Events have proved your statement wrong, although from your comment, I’m thinking no amount of proof will be sufficient for you to decide.

Although, a preponderance of the evidence 7 months ago would have done much the same for anyone willing to weigh the extraordinary coincidences and unlikely alibis of the Edwards campaign.

I will make the guess that you are a consumer of mainstream news. That makes it especially hard to argue your case: when you’re limited in what you know about a story, how can you be effective?

Also, we have no rage towards Edwards: he’s human, human’s make mistakes every day. Whatever anger was directed at a MSM that, instead of reporting a story, has devolved into deciding if they’re going to report a story–if their readers can “handle” the story. That’s not why reporting is constitutionally-protected turf.

The major media wonder what can be done to stem the tide of red ink and falling stock prices at the NY Times, CNN and the others. The remedy might be as simple as “Do your damn job”.

It is obviously difficult to tell whether or not this story is true. Right wingers manufactured lies about John Kerry’s Vietnam service and Hillary’s “killing” of an aide (not to mention their decade long “everything’s just PEACHY with the climate” lies), but I find it AMAZING that a party which is constantly having its stars come flying out of the closet at Mach 2 (whether in men’s bathrooms in airports or molesting pages on Capitol Hill or Mr. Vitter’s sex with prostitutes or their god-fearing preachers are caught buying drugs from a favorite gay prostitute) is actually so OUTRAGED when a Democrat *may* be having an affair with a woman.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Republican.

They were reputable enough when they went after Rush Limbaugh.

“The father of the child was said to be Andrew Young, someone who had worked for the Edwardses for years.”

And then Hunter moved into Young’s neighborhood and had dinner with him and his family. While carrying his illegitimate child. Right.
