I was used to him with the beard, but then there was this vaguely familiar face that had something disfigured about it. same way my kid-sister was afraid of me when i had clown-makeup, but not nearly as afraid of my cousin or other strangers with similar facepaintings on. i guess this explains why small children might be a bit scared of people of other races. they seem like human but they aren't.
