		<description>I disagree with qualifications.  Ben Roethlisberger (note the spelling) has already proven he is one of the premier quarterbacks in the NFL.  He is steady, steady, steady.  He reads defenses and makes the right decision almost 100% of the time.  He has no particular ego problems and is a leader in the locker room.  In other words, he&#039;s the perfect guy for a team-oriented team like the Steelers.

As you point out, he did an incredibly stupid and immature thing by riding a motorcycle without a helmet.  He, however, was not to blame for the accident (to the best of my recollection).  I think he has wised up and made better choices in his personal life as well.  His one &quot;off&quot; season was the result of coming back too soon from his head injury.  He clearly was not the same.  Last season he was the same or better than his first few seasons and I predict several good years to come provided the Steelers can continue to surround him with talent comparable to what he has now.
