I would submit that the Democratic party is not one of defeat and retreat but one of seeing how the Repulican party has systematically trampled on the rights of the American people guarenteed in the Constitution. Maybe a party that does not want to borrow more money from China to fight a fight that was based on deceit. Maybe a party that is tired of the current administration printing money out of thin air and decreasing the overall value of the dollar in the process. Maybe a party this is not happy with the present act of accepting lobbyist/corporation money to make things easier for the corporations to make huge profits at the benefit of the American peopel that the congress is supposed to be representing. Maybe all politicians (no longer public servents) should go back and read the Constitution. I don't believe that remember it saying that the people have freedom but only if the government thinks that we are not safe enough. If the government wants us to be safer, they need to work harder, not infringe on the basic rights that the Constitution affords us. And all of this is from a registered Republican.
