Okay conservative, Obama does resemble a primate. ALL HUMANS DO! And if you truly doubt evolution, then go look in a mirror. Curious George looks no more like Obama than Elvis Presley or Dakota Fanning. We all look like primates. Get used to it.

Neither Mike Norman or Louis Farrakhan are excusable. MIKE NORMAN is an idiotic and bigoted man who tried to make a joke. It was offensive and not even intelligent. But it was legal. Let this man be who he is. His image is a product of his actions. We now see him for a stupid and racist smartass. That’s all he’ll ever be to his peers. That is his punishment.
LOUIS FARRAKHAN is as much a bigoted and idiotic man. And although his people were persecuted, he has no right, as does anyone, to preach hate against another group of people. But it is legal. He is allowed to do what he does but people don’t like him for it. He is a racist and deserves to be seen by the public as a failure to society. So should Mike Norman. NEITHER ARE EXCUSABLE.

I AM A JEW, and I am capable of not throwing a hissy fit about this guy. I AM AN OBAMA SUPPORTER, and I am capable of not going on a tirade about Mike Norman. These are just stupid people. They do know better than this but they refuse to abide by it. They should both be shunned. This is not a game of fairness. This is a decision to be rational or defensive of a ridiculous topic. You make the smart decision, not your political affiliation.

Here is my stance on this situation. I did make fun of George Bush. I made fun of his politics, his babble, his idiocy, and his decisions. NOT ONCE DID I MAKE FUN OF HIS HERITAGE. I did not jest at his Texas orientation, his Christian beliefs, or even his distinct accent. So yes, you can make fun of Obama’s personal or political image. BUT DONT MAKE FUN OF HIS HERITAGE. Because that is what is wrong with America. Instead of seeing a person for who they are, we see them as a demographic. To joke about one’s heritage is to hurt them, their people, and this country.

Lastly, we should try to give Obama a chance. The Legislature certainly has not. If the American people can give Obama their support, then maybe politicians will. He has potential to do something great. He isn’t the same old politician. He is new. A new face and a new opinion. And a new America. A better America. He is not the “first Black president”. HE IS THE PRESIDENT! so lets give him a shot. It can’t hurt.

I never owned a slave and wouldn’t want to if it was somehow legal. If I want to say Obama is incompetent as a leader and that he looks like a monkey, im entitled to do so. If I want to run a white only miss america, I would say that is pretty much racist. Black miss america is pretty much racist foundation. The only excuse I can think of where one would WANT to separate their racial identity into an exclusive beauty contest is fear of the competition. Black only groups are as racist as the white only water fountains we saw in the 1950s. Scholarships that are given to black groups exclusively should have an equal contribution as ones that go to every other racial background, but white only scholarships don’t exist that I know of. You guys get a lot of benefits white males don’t get. In current society, in the social and financial perspective people have the most advantages as an african american. Affirmative Action is a completely negative reaction.

I didn’t do anything to you. You didn’t do anything to me. This false belief that whites owe blacks anything stems from old jewish/christian religious ideology, that the sins of the fathers pass on to the son.

So, which the anti-logic of political correctness, and if you take a look at the long course of history, arabs should be slaves to both whites and blacks to make up for starting slavery and promoting it as a profitable trade in the first place. It’s obvious overtime and with liberal stupid logic Arabs owe Africans much more than whites so, and balcks and arabs both owe certain whites more than blacks owe whites. Bottom line is black people need to accept were there are now and stop living in the past. You probably wouldn’t exist, and if you did youd still be in africa if the system had not brought your ancestors here.

That is, assuming it was such, and since I don’t know where she was from or anything about her background, it’s also possible that she has already been influenced by the beliefs of those who may not be so innocent. Much as we’d like to wish it away – racism still exists in this country, and denying it doesn’t help anyone.

And there actually _are_ still slaves, even in our beloved America, and many of them are women: domestic workers smuggled in from overseas, young women and girls promised a new life and forced into prostitution. All is not equal or just in ‘this great nation’ that so values ‘equality and justice for all.’

By the way, speaking of ignorance, ‘hear’ is spelled with an ‘a,’ dear Elisa. ‘Here’ is a place. I guess our ‘liberal Canuck’ has a point. The ‘bootstrap’ theory just doesn’t work very well in practice, not in the America of today – only a select few are able to escape adverse conditions – and they are truly inspirational.

And about blacks being oppressed and not being able to move up the social ladder…

I had a very tough childhood, moving every year or two because we got evicted because we couldn’t pay the rent. I had the same opportunity in public schools that blacks, hispanics and every other minority has. Now I enjoy a $50,000 per year base salary plus commission. I guess the difference is that I payed attention at school and graduated. Not to mention, I didn’t have the NAACP, United Negro College Fund, The Ron Brown Scholar Program, Malcolm X Scholarship for Exceptional Courage, Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship, Earl G. Graves Scholarship, African American Future Achievers Scholarship Program, … need i go on? I had to get loans and pay them back.

Blacks and minorities complain about equal rights, we give them special rights and every opportunity to excel, it’s their own fault if they want to stay in the ghetto. There are many blacks and other minorities that are very successful that came from the same upbringing as 75% of the criminals behind bars.
