Austrian Father Threatened Basement Captive Sex-Slave Daughter with “Gas Chamber”

New details have emerged in the case of the Austrian father, Josef Fritzl, who kept his own daughter captive in a makeshift basement prison for 24 years and fathered seven of her children. Fritzl’s threat to turn his basement prison into a “gas chamber” has some attempting to connect his actions to Amstetten’s Holocaust past.

According the Daily Mail, Fritzl told his daughter and the three children sentenced to spend their lives in a five room makeshift basement dungeon that if they tried to escape he would turn their fortified prison into a “gas chamber”.

This remark is particularly disturbing as the town where all this has occurred is Amstetten, Austria, who’s own dark past relates to the Holocaust and the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camps.

A commenter at the Austrian Times wrote about the “taboo” of speaking about the women’s and men’s concentration camps, sub-camps of the Mauthausen-Gusen complex, that were near Amstettin. Many locals were employed there and that Fritzl was himself, 10 years old at the time. The commenter made the point that “it was easy to see how a young Fritzl monster was formed”.

Amstetten had two sub-camps of the Mauthausen-Gusen complex, one for men, the other for women. In 1938 Himmler ordered prisoners from the Dachau concentration camp to be moved to the little town of Mauthausen in order to start a slave labor camp which mined a local quarry.

Mauthausen was classified as a “category 3 camp”, it meant “Rûckkehr unerwünscht” or “return not desired” and “Vernichtung durch arbeit” (extermination by work). When the commander of Mauthausen was mortally wounded on May 23, 1945, by American soldiers while attempting to escape he gave a deathbed confession which listed the various ways the guards and camp personnel eradicated their charges.

Could Fritzl have been exposed to the atrocities that were daily fare in the Mauthausen camps?

Inmates were ordered to bath then stand outside in frigid winter temperatures until they died.

Inmates died from benzine injections administered by Dr. Kiesewetter.

SS Untersturmfuehrer Dr. Richter removed brain tissue from healthy and ill inmates causing the death of approximately 1000.

SS Obergruppenfuehrer Pohl sent inmates into the woods to starve to death. Pohl also had all sick and weak inmates murdered by way of gas chambers located in Hartheim, ten kilometers from Linz where Mauthausen was located. Approximately 30,000 met their death in this manner.

Inmates who worked the crematoriums were ordered to be shot through the neck thus eliminating witnesses who knew too much.

Himmler gave the order to kill inmates by loading a heavy stone on them and order them to run around until they fell dead.

Inmates were forced to haul stones at the quarry until “they collapsed”. They were then shot. A record was then made that they were shot because they “tried to escape”.

Inmates were “torn to pieces” by a camp commander’s dog.

Inmates were starved.

While Fritzl may have been a boy of ten when inmates were housed near Amstetten in the two sub-camps we’re not sure if this is applicable, that the concentration camps contributed to Josef’s being a monster. We’d have to get more information about Fritzl’s early years. Had any of his relatives worked in the camps? Had Fritzl, himself, visited the camps as a boy?

Interestingly another man has been in the news lately whose life intertwined with Hitler via his famous parents.

Max Mosley, head of the prestigious racing group Formula One, has come under fire after a video surfaced with Mosley shown cracking a leather whip while barking orders and beating prostitutes dressed as WWII Nazi concentration camp prisoners. Mosley is seen at times inspecting their heads for lice. The kinky-sick Nazi sex tape purportedly cost Mosley $5400 for a five hour session at his Chelsea apartment in London.

Mosley, a married man, has said he won’t resign while some claim what Mosley does in private should stay private and not dictate his professional life.

While some may consider Mosley’s Nazi fetish to be somewhat on the kinky weirdo side there’s another side to Mosley, of a man whose parents were famous for their ties to a virulent antisemitic fascist organization, the British Union of Fascists, and an intimate relationship with Hitler and the leaders of the Nazi party. Mosley’s mother and father were virulent fascists who had their wedding in Joseph Goebbel’s library in 1936.

Diana and Oswald held a small wedding ceremony in the drawing room of Hitler’s Propaganda Minister, Joseph Goebbel, in 1936. In the advent of WWII the British government enacted what was known as Defense Regulation 18B which allowed Home Security to imprison without trial anyone deemed to “endanger the safety of the realm”. Oswald and Diana were immediately arrested as well as other high ranking BUF officials. The BUF soon disbanded while the couple was allowed to live just outside the Holloway Prison in a small house with their own garden and volunteer “servants” from the prison. It was Winston Churchill who granted the couple permission to live in the little house.

Max Mosley was born just prior to the couple’s arrest in 1940 and spent his first three years in the little house just outside of Holloway prison. There’s no telling what the little boy overhead in his formative years. In 1943 the couple was released from prison, well before the war ended, resulting in large scale protests.

While Max Mosley’s sicko Nazi concentration sex stint with prostitutes may have resulted from formative years toddling around the prison home garden listening to the psycho-babblings of parents enamored with all things Third Reich, we’d need more information to make any connection between Josef Fritzl’s underground dungeon where he held his own daughter captive as a sex-slave for 24 years and fathered 7 children and the evil that once lurked outside Amstetten, the two Mauthausen concentration sub-camps. Yet Fritzl did threaten his daughter and children that he would turn the basement prison into a “gas chamber” if they tried to escape.

No community is immune from having discovered a “monster in their midst” but Fritzl’s actions have once again awakened the the nightmare memories of a time when horror and evil were intertwined with the daily lives of the citizens of Amstetten.
