I have looked at the photo of the russian ufo appearing to be stuck in the ground many times.
If you look at the dirt on the bottom of the ufo you will see that the dirt is (smeared) upwards.
When things go into the ground it makes a crater.
The dirt looks (pulled up) around it allmost like it was coming out of the ground.
The hull looks as if it has merged with the dirt,as if it was coming to a standstill coming out of the ground.
I know this may sound strange but look at the photo.
Remember the philidephia experiment?
The men were merged into the hull of the ship.
Dirt could do the same thing (merge) if an accident happend while it was coming out of some sort of transition from matter
(The ground) and non matter (empty space) which is all around us.
As for the aliens inside they probably merged with the seats and workings inside the ship along with the dirt too.
I would have to say this was probably a severe malfunction of some field that would allow a (phase through effect)with matter.
