I don’t understand why people look at the FairTax with the attitude of it doesn’t benefit me. Why should I support this?

The reason is that everyone will pay their fair share no matter what income level you fall under.

Whether you have six children or one you still pay your share. If you live in a $300,000.00 home or a $50,000.00 one you pay your share.

The FairTax wasn’t researched and supported by top economists in this great nation of ours to benefit any one person but for everyone.

I support the FairTax not because of any political reason. I do it because I’m a Father, Grandfather and a tax paying citizen who is tired of being promised tax deductions that I might be able to use are not applicable to me. Thus resulting in my paying higher taxes. This deception is buried in the 68,000 plus pages of the IRS’s tax codes. Why do we need this engorged tax book to pay taxes?

Dear Fascist Nation,

Any tax proposal that gets the government out of my private business is a good thing. If you think the FairTax would be a tool to regulate businesses, what do you think the income tax is used for for people? The federal government knows every dollar that I have ever made in my entire life. That’s way too much power. Don’t believe for a minute that that information is secret.

The current tax code requires me to testify against myself and considers me guilty until I prove my innocence.

I am all in favor of a proposal to extinguish the IRS, eliminate the current tax code, and do away with April 15th.

I would think you would be, too.

I find it rediculous that our tax system is so complicated that it is worth a company’s time and money to advertise nationally on TV for clients to help out of their tax problems. By eliminating the current tax system and effecting change, we have a chance to do it right and fair.

It constantly amazes me how a few people will cling to government oppression in the face of change! Unless, of course, those people have something to lose by changing. In this case it would be cheaters who don’t pay taxes now, beaurocrats who maintain a power base by using our tax dollars illegitimately or professional tax people (accountants, IRS agents, lawyers, etc.) who don’t want to change in their profession. When it comes to the FairTax, I suspect it is people in these categories that pose as fools in order to oppose what has become our nations own tyranny.

Wind and Solar power to “store” electricity for our national grids is a bogus answer since our dependence on foreign oil is not related to our Electrical Grids.. it is related to our transportation industry.
Why not use the power from Solar and Windfarms to manufacture Hydrogen from tap water?

Why not bring American jobs back to America by changing the playing field the corporate America must operate under?

What Fascist Nation does not know or understand or “get” is that the FairTax was created by all of us — American citizens — in response to the question “What is the fairest, best way to pay taxes?” Truly, if we have to be taxed at all, the FairTax is the best plan I’ve ever seen. The other problem — How Much to Pay — is left up to us as an on-going battle with Congress to control unrestrained spending, but the FairTax goes a long way toward helping to fix that, too. Just read the bill. As for me, it’s “Onward and Upward — FairTax forever.

WOW, what a statement. The Facist Nation comment above points out the fact that Facist Nation hasn’t read the FairTax bill (H.R. 25) and really doesn’t understand the bill..
Negativity is not the American Way. Educating one’s self before arbitrairily making not so smart statements is probably a good idea.
I don’t remember exactly who made the following quote but it has a lot of merit: “Those who say it is impossible are always getting in the way of those getting the job done”!
Our present tax system (7 million word mess) is not only abusive, punative and counterproductive, penalizes America totally.
Facist Nation may not like the FairTax however I haven’t heard what your plan is to correct the tax system, unless you really are a Facist and want America to be brought to it’s knees.

The Fair Tax will undoubtedly gain a great deal of support from both sides of the aisle fairly soon. It is a sales tax.

As the nation enters a depression (recession), the vast majority of you will lose your income. No income, no tax being collected. But you will still be buying things. A lot less things, but you will still make purchases.

Since government has no intension of cutting spending, taxing sales is the obvious means of bleeding you further. Yup, they are more than happy to temporarily abandon income tax to get your earnings through a sales tax.

Not only does it get you to participate in affirming their “just” power to steal your productivity, it gets them the power to inspect businesses — all businesses — like never before.

SUCKERS!!!!
