Edwards’ Alleged Love Child Scandal: Clintons Orchestrated Rumor?
The National Enquirer claims John Edwards not only cheated on his terminally ill wife Elizabeth, but that the “alleged” affair has produced an Edwards’ byproduct.
Even though the alleged mistress, six months pregnant Reille Hunter, claims the baby is not Edwards and Edwards denies the affair, the rumor has spun off yet another rumor, this time pointed squarely at the Clintons as the potential source.

What the tabloid’s readers, in politics and out, may not know is that a key owner of the Enquirer is a prominent New York investment banker and one of Hillary Clinton’s key backers, Roger Altman. Altman was an official in the first Clinton administration, and his name is often mentioned as a possible Clinton Treasury Secretary.
Do two negatives make a positive?
If the rumor about Edwards is proven to be true we’re not sure that even his savvy medical malpractice attorney background and lawyerly skills would be enough to pull this kind of unsavory fat from the fire.
If the rumors that the Clintons were involved in the leaking of the Edward’s lovechild rumor then Hillary’s run for President could also be in danger as voters would see a very non-pretty slimy side to Hillary.
Then there’s a third scenario, that Edwards is innocent yet it’s proven the Clintons were behind spreading a maliciously false rumor.
The fourth scenario: Edwards did not cheat on his wife, the baby is not his, the Clintons were not behind the National Enquirer story.
Inquiring minds want to know: who’s behind the supermarket newsmag story as we would imagine, so does John Edwards.
Endless scenarios, rumors on top rumors, such is the political season and for some, the reason to be jolly.
