According to the Las Vegas Review, a report from a federally funded think tank, out of ten U.S. cities, Vegas is “ninth”, one of the major cities which terrorists are most likely to target. The terrorist’s target, the Vegas’ “Strip”.
The Las Vegas Review reported the Rand Corporation report “confirms” the Review-Journal’s own series on terrorism, “The Long Shadow of 911″. The Review-Journal report an interesting read on the potential terrorist scenarios of terrorists using a “2-ton” and “10 ton truck bomb”, and the estimated damage, including the financial losses. Terrorists using an airliner, a similar scenario to 911, and, the doomsday scenario of a “5 kiloton nuclear bomb”.
