FBI Offers $20,000 Reward But Issues No Press Release
The Madeline McCann Connection: What the Definitive Answer?
We’ve been following the story of Baby Grace, the little girl whose body was found on a small inlet on Galveston Bay. A fisherman discovered her October 29th encased in a blue plastic tote that came to rest on a sand bar.
The FBI has a reward of $20,000 for information leading to the identity of Baby Grace. It was tacked onto a poster released by the FBI. It is unknown what date the FBI put out this flier. Although the reward is on the flier, no press release was issued concerning the reward.
The Galveston County Sheriff’s Department has not released any further info on the Baby Grace case. The last known press release was November 12th when CBS News put out its story, “Police Flooded With Baby Grace Tips.”
Why isn’t the local press pursuing this? Where’s the Houston Chronicle?
The police are sifting through clues and tips; have they ruled any of the little girls they are considering out? There have been no new statements; this does not mean that parents of the missing girls across the country have lost interest in developments in this case.

Investigators on Monday said at least two dozen girls reported missing from across the country match the physical description of the child investigators have named “Baby Grace.”
Investigators were pursuing 170 active leads and on Monday were conducting follow-up interviews with people who had given promising clues, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo said, according to the Galveston County Daily News.

“We do not believe she is from our area, because no one local has reported a missing child matching this description,” Cindy said. “She could be from anywhere in the world. There are ships that pass through here, so she could be from anywhere.”

Early in the Baby Grace Case it was reported the possibility that Baby Grace could be Madeleine McCann, the little girl allegedly abducted May 3rd, 2007, in Portugal.
Tuttoilmondo added that several callers said they believe the child’s body, which was discovered by a fisherman late Monday, may be that of Madeleine McCann, a 4-year-old British girl whose disappearance from a resort hotel in Portugal in May has made international headlines. In September, Portuguese police formally identified Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry McCann as suspects in the case.
“Based on the totality of the circumstances, we do not believe it’s her (Madeleine),” Tuttoilmondo said adding that the Sheriff’s Office is also working with FBI authorities to completely rule out the possibility.

Tuttoilmondo has since ruled out the Baby Grace – Madeleine McCann angle.
“We’re confident it’s not her [Madeleine],” Major Ray Tuttoilmondo, spokesman for the Galveston Sheriff’s Department, told Fox News, adding, “We’re still going through known missing person cases. It’s a long process. Can I say absolutely she is not a known missing person? No. We are getting tips literally from all over the country. We’re going through every single one. This tells me that people are concerned.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI are sifting through hundreds of tips and possible matches to cases of missing girls. We’ve been rather surprised at the lack of information coming from both the sheriff’s office and the FBI plus the lack of interest by the local papers in following up on this story.

Have the f.b.i. bothered to take baby grace d.n.a. and put it into codus .
It needs to be put into national d.n.a. system along with parents who report missing children and the computer can solve the jane doe or jon doe problem.
This baby could be Madelinne Macanne have they compared d.n.a. of body to Madelinnes parents.

I think they did, but there was enough evidence to rule out the conection even without DNA.
When she dissapeared Madeleine was already an inch taller than the height range estimate of Grace, and her hair was at least six inches shorter, if not twelve. For her hair to grow to match that of the corpse would have taken a long enough period that she would have gained a couple more inches in height.
All academic as her identity was found soon after.
