CNN’s Amapour to be Honored by Queen

Everybody’s favorite video reporter in a burqa, Christiane Amanpour, is set to be awarded the CBE from Queen Elizabeth. Saying she was happy to be cited “for services to journalism” was an understatement. The CNN reporter is often cited for walking the extremist apologist side of the street. From CNN:
She has reported from the front lines of conflicts around the world, interviewed world leaders, and investigated the important issues of our time. Tuesday, CNN’s Christiane Amanpour receives an honor from Britain’s Queen Elizabeth in recognition of her work.
Amanpour is set to receive a CBE, or Commander in the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, “for services to journalism.” Those words accompanying the award’s announcement in June made Amanpour especially pleased.
“I’m really, really thrilled and I’m really proud,” she told CNN at the time. “But I think I’m really proud of the simple citation which says ‘for services to journalism.’”
The ceremony is formally called an “investiture” and is held in the ballroom at Buckingham Palace. About 20 investitures are held each year for those receiving the award.
Because we seldom agree with her is no reason not to say “Congratulations”. However, failing to take this opportunity to point out that victims of Islamofacsism are critical of Amapour’s objectivity would also be amiss.
